I don't have the new pro model with the glass drivers, just the original kit with the reference drivers and they sound great! Comfort is way better than I expected as well and they're surprisingly well adjustable. Quite a bit punchier bass than I expected, and pretty great mids. I'd compare them to a more balanced AT-M50, with a better sound stage and a bit more pronounced lows. I'm no headphone reviewer though, so feel free to listen to someone else online talk about the full technical details.
I do sometimes run into an issue where one driver loses volume and needs to be unplugged/replugged which involves dismantling the ear piece, but aside from that they're a great pair of work headphones.
Never played the original personally, just watched folks play it. It's a very faithful remake/remaster, and in some ways feels like a different game with the addition of the third person follow-cam and some of the gameplay improvements (the quick camo menu is great). It's still just as hard and the feeling of crawling through the jungle undetected is just as rewarding.
I really enjoyed it, forgot how short it really was, but the huge number of different tools and ways to play adds great replayability.
