It’ll be interesting to see if Putin considers it worth pulling out of Ukraine to let Trump crow about winning in a bid to keep a friendly party running the US.
I mean, it’s worked for Apple so far. And if this is, as others have suggested, an effort to comply with EU attacks on privacy, then just maybe there’s a tiny silver lining in Trump leaning on the EU to stop it.
I hear you about going back to analog. The problem in the States is that Republicans have managed to gut the postal service and drive up its prices so that normal people can’t afford it. Electronic communication is all they can afford.
PGP encrypts and decrypts locally. Your private keys never leave your device. Public keys are meant to be shared widely, but without the private key, anyone who intercepts the message has exactly a block of encrypted text and no way to read it.

It isn’t celebratory to acknowledge the stone-cold fact that he was a victim of his own position. And that he himself said this was acceptable.
No one can possibly know if this killing was a terrorist act. No one knows anything about the suspect yet, so far as I know. No one really knows anything except that Charlie Kirk was killed while speaking at an engagement in Utah.
This wasn’t even the most egregious shooting that happened this week. But no one seems interested in talking about the latest high school shooting.
It would be well to stick to facts. Leave speculation out of it.
Only the US (and China and Russia and a few others) could twist “You don’t own the sky. Clean up after yourself” into an international incident
