Original account. i also use my discuss online account.

  • Seattle is a mix of rich folks, tech folks, counterculture folks, and holier-than-thou folks. Sometimes, that's just one dude.

  • It's horrifying how cats will play with bugs and torture them. I have cats, and they're sadistic.

It amazes me when I see people with cats and hamsters. Because I just believe if they wanted to, that hamster would be in multiple pieces.

  • We hired a IT guy who had a decade of experience with Windows Servers. The dude was not a good fit for our linux-heavy IT team. Didn't fully know commands or how the OS worked.

He was still a smart dude, and he moved to the AWS team, where there's a lot more GUI aid.

  • As a Linux user, I shit on Linux tutorials being obtuse because the solution is often like "then sudo [command]" and now run these 8 other commands. But at least with Linux commands, a smart person can piece together what's going on.

Windows, it's even worse. It's like a bunch of black boxes talking to other black boxes so after you right click to enable that property and add this registry key, you then have to reboot into your bios to turn on "Fuckboi" mode and take photos of your asshole for verification, then log into your Microsoft account to get this Powershell script and now you can finally see your children again.

  • I'm so exhausted at people who answer like this.

    It makes me feel crazy.

  • Still there for me.

  • In my old job, the tech department wasn't who hired engineers, it was Human Resources.

And they would write shit like "Entry level position- needs react, C#, Unity, Kubernetes, Perl, and Assembly expertise. Min 5 years of experience."

Shit they found online and slapped into a profile.

And it was up to the dept leads to hire people quietly and just have HR sign off on it because they were fucking morons.

  • His daughter coming out and him calling it the "woke-mind virus" was peak meltdown for me.

Really shows how much control he wants.

  • Seeing him mentioned in 2010-2020 media as an enlightened soul who will bring Humanity to Space is so cringe now.

He's in an episode of Rick and Morty. Granted, Rick makes jabs at Elon so it ages a bit better than most others.

  • It's pretty normal for women to call out troublesome behavior from horrible people only for it to take a decade or two before anybody listens.

    Epstein.

    Harvey Weinstein.

Bill Cosby. (Granted Hannibal Buress made it soar)

  • I really pissed off a coworker with this line. Complains about 1.5 hour commute because of "all the assholes in rush hour".

  • Thats hilarious and accurate to what I've been seeing elsewhere. Non-techies jump to windows 11, notice half their custom settings are gone and it's harder to find their stuff, then get furious and want to get off of windows.

    Keep it up Microsoft.

  • Either

    1. They're always watching. I'm in tech and was taught in my security training - when traveling to countries with extremely strong surveillance, assume you are bugged. Family could be high valued and they wanted something from the parents. Probably a bit too tinfoil hat.
    2. Vengeance girl's parents could be assholes/racist. As a dude, Ive had my share of "mommy & daddy doesn't like me for taking their precious flower". Multiplier in effect if they have a problem that I'm a PoC.
  • Not kidding. Had a vegan apologize when she ripped a loud fart because steamed carrots made her gassy.

Not a single person smelled anything.

  • Id prefer if he faded to obscurity. I liked his music growing up, but fuck Ye.

How many 80s-2010s musicians do we still see in the news? When was the last time you heard about the band Sugar Ray?

Instead, I have to see this idiot pop into my feed at least once a week. The racist fuckface is also wandering around Tokyo making an album. I know about that because of these random stories on social media.

  • I feel like this is all marketing BS, and just shitting on the garbage that was Concord to gain more eyeballs

  • Eww y'all have a code word? Those are easily guessable.

My wife and I have a random 6 digit code that rotates every 30-seconds based on an algorithm and if we don't properly authorize, we will refuse the connection.

  • If Reddit implemented proper blocking, it wouldn't be a problem.

The quantity of fuckheads who kept brigading from their cesspool into a regular subreddit was infuriating.

  • Which I think is fascinating. On Reddit, I'd get a post removed with a mail that says something extremely vague. Zero transparency.
