Well I make 15k and I feel poor. If I made 4-5x that I would no longer feel poor and could comfortably support not just myself but also theoretically my partner and a kid or two if I wanted to.

I live in central europe but still would never think twice about leaving the house or entering a tram with a knife in my backpack. I think I actually do still have a swiss army knife in there somewhere that I’ve been carrying literally anywhere I go for the last couple years.

To me it’s a little strange to compare knives, which are primarily tools, to firearms that are from start to finish designed for the sole purpose of killing and injuring living things. My life would be worse without knives, I use them every single day. But I’ve never required a gun for anything

70k is 3,5k/mo after taxes in my country. Doesnt really matter where you live with that you could be paying 2500 in rent and still be loaded for the month. Look all I’m saying is this O’Leary guy is a fucking prick and most people never see 70k in their lifetime

It’s insulting that this guy says 70k like it’s a low salary (for “kids” as he says). I make a quarter of that. I also know a lot more retired old people who never made close to that in their lifetime than ones who did make that much

The last two points are very valid but I think the fake engine noise while driving is pretty important for safety, no? Personally, I cant drive and usually get around by bike or on foot where a car that’s totally silent can be dangerous if you don’t see it coming
