  • How do we stop radar? By obliterating the air around us with cube. Lol

That is actually pretty neat though!

  • I got corrective eye surgery cause glasses were an annoyance on everyday life. Can't see from some peripherals, weight on your nose and ears, annoying when you lay down, cuddle etc. They bump about, and fall off if you're active (such as parkour and flipping). Also forgetting or relying on them to see was always irritating, they fog up, smudge, etc. Just generally a hassle I did not want to deal with any longer. They also break, are expensive, and potentially need multiple pairs if sensitive to sunlight, have different prescriptions, or need safety glasses.

I'm sure they're fine for most people but they suuuuuucked in my case.

  • I just wanted to add, that the heat pump effectiveness is true but a big part of the loss on tiny fridges is the insulation. Many manufacturers cheap out on that front for mini-fridges. You run at a greater energy consumption to compensate for the lack of proper insulation.

Get a good, well insulated mini-frige (using a proper compressor/heat pump) and you're all set. Buy once, cry once, and do your homework folks!

  • It's just a feature I think a of of people find attractive, big or small. For most people I think it's not necessarily a deal breaker but a small +/- towards attraction. I can't tell you exactly why I like certain features like the nape of the neck, just that I do. I'm not going to dismiss someone as a partner for it either but it's a small +/-. Height is just the mainstream version of that cause a bunch of people relate. Some people like to be made to feel big or small by their partner, height differences can do that.

There will always be the shallow people who dismiss someone entirely based on something like that though, probably best to avoid those people.

  • I don't go to fast food often, I walked into a McDonalds for the first time in maybe 1yr +? They had the kiosks for self ordering, I looked at the prices and "deals" and decided that the cost/experience ratio was just not worth and just left. I can go to a restaurant or cook myself for those prices (and I did, cooked enchiladas).

It doesn't seem affordable/worth it even for a one-off now

  • Wait, that movie bombed?? I really enjoyed that one as a kid! I even rewatched it as an adult and still enjoyed it!

Granted it had more of a "gritty" feel comparatively, but still excellent IMO

  • I once consulted my aunt (PHD English professor) for a small stakes bet ($5) because a friend and I were discussing whether or not letters have any fundamental rules on how they are written.

Turns out, no, they don't. I.E. if I write: Hello there, ¥¶®×°∆| Kenobi. As long as "¥¶®×°∆|" is understood as "General" than according to (american) English it is written "correctly". There's no edict that states a " T" must be written in that shape, therefore, any symbol that's understood intent wise is correct.

I lost that bet, cause WTF, how is that acceptable??

  • He was just tried and convicted, on 34 felony counts no less! Apparently the punishment for that is immediate release 🤷‍♀️

  • It's especially sad because he had empirical evidence washing his hands worked! New birth death rates dropped and when he eventually opened his own practice death rates were the lowest ever seen. Though he got bitter and angry towards the end which lead to being put in the psych ward. Honestly though, if you knew people were killing babies by negligence and were an empathetic person you'd probably end up the same way regardless of who you are.

IIRC, the hand wash was a chlorine one that was pretty rough on the skin so people didn't like to do it. Additionally to accept what he said Dr.s would have to accept they have been killing babies this whole time. I believe one Dr. Agreed with Sammelwise and killed himself because that knowledge haunted him so.

  • To add to what Kabi said, IIRC only when you're speaking in set or groups do the infinities become "larger" (simplified and not 100% accurate). I.E. infinity of regular numbers vs infinity containing all the variations of positive integers added. The latter would be "larger" cause it contains multiple infinities or "sets" of infinities and is infinite within itself. This video helps explain probably better
