  • Paywall, and the archived link is a 3 year old article.

  • You are absolutely right, it can at most be considered retaliation at this point.

  • There have already been several lawsuits against AI companies, where it is revealed that AI art is copied from existing original works. You may be right, but I don't think that battle is lost quite yet.AI is mostly good for memes, beyond that it tends to quickly becomes repetitive, and of little value.Of course AI art generally has a human "director" guiding the AI on what to do. As I said previously we will see how it turns out.I'm not sure the end result of this will be within 10 years.

  • This is so stupid, Vietnam was trying to avoid dependency on China, and was actually seeking closer ties with USA.Only the stupidity of Trump has allowed China to increase influence globally, when the world actually trust China less than ever, Trump has managed to make the world still trust China more than USA.

Trump couldn't have done a better job for Putin and/or China if he was 100% controlled by either of them.

  • The strategy is to raise prices and get more sales at the same time

Good strategy if he can pull it off. 🤣🤣🤣

  • That is true, but for instance Ian M Banks predicted AI being able to make art already back in the 70's in his Culture series of books.Even accurately simulating famous artists. And his conclusion was that AI should not make art at all, because it would end up detracting from the value of art.

I think the reason the CEO is wrong, is that it will be a legal shitshow, and I think AI art may become illegal, or at the very least required to be clearly labeled as AI art.

We will see how it turns out.

  • It's true it's not as accurate, but I think it can tell for more than 1, as long as it's not in the wrong pattern. Also if all 4 are going flat, there is either something seriously wrong or the user hasn't checked tire pressure for a very long time, and you still need to do that.

  • I suppose that's the thing that can measure the rotation with high enough accuracy, I didn't even think of that.So it's based on a sensor that is already there! Very clever. 👍

  • fundamentally, NATO is a U.S.-dominated forum, rather than a symposium of equals — a reality that Rutte’s relentlessly patient handling of the Trump administration makes clear.

This is only too true, but Europe and non US NATO allies are working to hard change that as quickly as possible.Where in EU the end goal is complete independence from USA, and very clearly NATO members both Canada and European countries are looking for alternative weapons suppliers to USA, resulting in US military suppliers are not gaining much if any value from the increased budgets in other NATO countries, where for instance Rheinmetall has increased 700% in 3 years.

  • What cost?

I'm arguing to convert to metric when posting on an international forum, because metric is the international standard. But I'll have you know that I often also post Imperial units when posting things that are in metric, because I know there are also a lot of Americans here. I've seen others do the same. But Americans very rarely do that. Hence the claim about American arrogance.

Finally to make the car show bar instead of psi and use it for recommended tire pressure has no extra cost.

  • This is especially bad in USA, but usually a bit better in European countries that have representation of the unions on the board.

  • I must admit I'm a bit of an VW fanboy, I just bought an ID.4 and I am waiting for it be ready to drive home.It is such a brilliant piece of engineering in so many ways, I am very impressed with what VW achieved with that car.Goddam the driving of that car is excellent! 😀 😎

  • Seems to me it did the job, maybe not as accurate, but it's a way simpler system and less error prone.

  • It's not just different, it's less intuitive, and it's based on other obsolete units, and it is only used by a minority.I bet if some other country had their own national standards of measurement plastered all over the net, that you would be pretty annoyed by that too.But somehow USA doing this shit constantly is OK because AMERICA!!

Americans are fucking annoying with their constant special pleading, it's OK to post psi or other imperial units, but for fucks sake post the metric units too that the majority is using.

  • The VW ID.4 uses actual/expected rotational speed to calculate pressure. No sensor to ruin there.

  • This Imperial shit is getting ridiculous. And the arrogance of expecting the rest of the world to understand it without converting to a more widely used standard is astounding.PSI = pounds per square inch.

WTF Really? Anybody is using that? POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH!!! That's what you are going with??Instead of the much simpler and way more intuitive bar which is based on atmospheric pressure.

For anyone not using tribal Imperial 24 psi is 1.65 bar and 50 psi is 3.45 Bar.https://www.unitconverters.net/pressure/psi-to-bar.htm

  • Epic Games CEO and Fortnite boss Tim Sweeney:

everyone will have to 'fess up to using it eventually as AI will become "involved in nearly all future production."

Once again Epic games act like the moronic villains they are.

  • Or maybe just “I’m sorry, you should go get tested.”

    That's a good one. 😀

  • Yes, but among friends is different.
