I like to tinker, I like to have a level of control (or at least the option) of things I own, I like to learn, I like the idea of open source, and from Windows 2000 on I didn't like the direction it was going.
This year I don't have to do anything for it. My mom scheduled the family get-together on the 23rd. Since I work that day and the day after the 2+ hour drive makes it impossible. Of course it would be nice to see most of them but I'm very happy I have an excuse. My favorite way to engage with Xmas is to not recognize it. I'll be sitting at home with my dog, probably playing video games, and listening to metal.
I'm proud to have kept my anti-Star Wars stance for so many years now. Yes, a good amount of it is spite because people in general won't stop talking about it; However, I've seen enough of the films to find them not entertaining. I won't claim that anything I like is superior, it's just been more fun to tell people that I don't give a flying fuck about Star Wars.
Since laws don't exist anymore (of course depending on which side you are) and the president can do whatever he wants with no consequences he can totally have anyone killed.
There are people at the top who have the power to make things better for everyone but choose the furthest from that. They do direct harm to so many people with no accountability. To deny them of their lives would be showing them the respect that they show to others. It's the least we could all do.
Back in my day games were finished before they were released.
