I never understood putting so much effort into being friends with someone. You can’t change how someone feels or reacts but it is what it is. IVPN is certainly a good contender. I’d also consider AirVPN purely for port forwarding. I’d swap to IVPN in a heartbeat if they had that feature.

I believe mullvad owns most of their servers. Ivpn does not claim to own their servers.

Not sure if linking is allowed but if you go to IVPN’s server status page, they have a quick faq at the bottom where they mention they rent from datacenter partners.
