There's enough market manipulation by the government that the alternatives are scarce or financially out of reach. It's not a true free market.
It's only going to hallucinate until it gets new input from reality. Not nearly as precarious as generative models.
I wonder if there's a reason the human body doesn't always run on amber alert....
