  • Tangentially related but I miss the days when the 2016 DOOM Slayer was yet to be confirmed as the original DOOM Guy from 1993. I thought it was way cooler to think that the Slayer was a genderless force of anger against evil and the fully-covering Praetor suit made it easy to think of them that way

  • Okey dokes good for you but your company’s problems with getting an employee to care are not our problems and they’re probably not even your problems.

Forcing working from the office is nothing more than a means of controlling the working class and fuck that.

  • MOM! Phineas and Ferb are educating the greater Public about the universal benefits of a 4-day work week with no reduction in pay!

  • Honestly, it’s clear SCOTUS cares as much about precedent as your average billionaire cares about the livability of the planet 100 years from now so hearing that they’re not going to listen to a case like this is refreshing

  • I get that people don’t like it for a wide variety of reasons. However, there are 2 things I absolutely adore about it:

    1. The combat. Not so much the clunky clicking, but the way it strong-arms you into engaging with the alchemy and bestiary like an actual witcher would have to. Witchers don’t stand a chance against most of the monsters they fight without those stupidly potent potions and acute knowledge of their weaknesses.
    2. The atmosphere. The game may be ugly up close, but every single map, every environment oozes with dreary medieval vibes or swampy fantasy. I don’t even think I can say that it’s good “for a low budget game” because the atmosphere stands the test of time. The developers had an idea for how the game should feel as soon as they started designing it and it shows.

I went back to play the first 2 games before replaying the third and finally finishing CP2077 a few years ago because I wanted to see how CDPR’s skills changed, and honestly? They haven’t, at least not in regards to making a game immersive. The only thing that’s changed is the budget and scope of their games because holy hell I’ll be damned if every one of CDPR’s major releases hasn’t been among the most immersive video games ever created.

  • Developed in UE5, I’m assuming? That’d be an unfortunate probability. CP2077 was the best looking game and the most immersive game I’ve ever played

  • A bus ticket for me to get to work is $3.50 and it’s about 1h40m. It takes roughly 35-45 minutes to drive. Idk if that’s good or not but I consider myself lucky that I don’t need to transfer buses

  • Rick’s obsession with McDonald’s’ Mulan-promotional szechuan sauce wasn’t really generation-defining, but it definitely was one of the bigger moments where internet nerds crawled out of their caves and into the social spotlight for a hot minute. Still can’t believe people got violently enraged over that

  • Wait, really? I mean I didn’t know that England was looking to abolish slavery. Is there a good place to read about this?

  • I think this is the right place to look.

At the bare minimum, back then the founders wrote a constitution designed AND INTENDED to be amended, if not rewritten every once in a while.

As of like 80 years ago people started to get it in their head that the USA was somehow the greatest nation to ever exist and could never be better. Maybe because of how it helped out in WWII? Maybe because of how the economy boomed following the war? Who knows. But Nationalism has certainly put the nails in the coffin.

  • Don’t you recognize your old buddy, Bender?

  • Damn, a tongue lashing? But was he SLAMMED?

  • I had to scroll shockingly far through these comments to find a sex joke.

Is a “golden dome” not what happens when you try to suck off someone who gives zero shits about you before he pisses in your mouth? Because that’s exactly what it sounds like

  • ehhhhhhh

I mean Ciri does but she’s a child throughout the books.

Yennefer and Triss are almost only as independent as their insatiable lust for Geralt lets them be. Kind of like Triss and Shani in the Witcher 1 but I’d argue they’re worse in that game than in the books

  • If you’re avoiding the first two Witcher games because they’re somehow not cinematic, you’re sorely mistaken.

Both of those games are incredibly atmospheric to the point of mastery. (tbf you have to be able to forgive the character models in the first game and that can be admittedly difficult because HOLY HELL ZOLTAN ARE YOU OKAY)

also wtf do you mean “masculine indulgences?”

  • Daaaaaaaaayyum they got ripped!

  • “Person who has already sold his soul to capitalism says that money making thing is better than human”

  • In Colorado last year RCV was on the ballot as part of an initiative. It was shot down easily because both parties campaigned against it. Not sure what to do when the weight of all incumbents is thrown against something
