  • P.E.B.C.A.K. Marking as resolved.

  • I think you’re right, but I believe the implication of the title “Origins Rule” is that Luigi had a bad time at the doctor, which was the first domino. Brian Thompson was no doctor.

  • I kinda got that sense from the moment that “AirBlade” sprayed all my germy hand water up into my face

  • I think one way you can at least partially answer that is by asking whether college tuition has increased in price equally with how valuable a college tuition is.

    The answer is no btw

  • The year of the Linux desktop will happen when a large (EDIT: large, CONSUMER-FOCUSED AND CONSUMER-FRIENDLY) company decides to donate a remarkable amount of resources to the development and maintenance of a specific distro to make it user friendly and give it the feeling that someone who actually knows better than most users is taking care of important stuff in the background.

    …Valve? 👀

  • “I’ll let you have a hershey’s kiss as a little treat if you finish drinking your glass of sulfuric acid!”

  • Oh thank goodness for the social media users! What would we do without them?!?!?

  • That’s my point. According to BMI, the likes of Dwayne Johnson are obese so that’s why it’s worth asking what standard of obesity the graph is referencing.

If BMI is bad for measuring individual health, why would it be at all good for measuring a large population?

  • Hop on a 6 hour flight, or drive for 40 hours from most countries and you’ll likely find yourself in a place that speaks an entirely different language. In America all that gets you is someone who has a different kind of twang in their voice.

Not saying it’s right to make that assumption but it’s definitely understandable why people do.

  • I’ve spent boatloads more time watching football than playing football, too.

Also, with Rainbow 6: Siege, there’s so many ways to play the game that I love watching videos to get ideas for new strategies to try.

Lastly, contrary to popular belief, a lot of games actually require thinking about what you’re doing. Time spent playing is not really time spent spacing out so I will happily watch videos about a game I like to play when I don’t have the energy to actually focus on playing them.

  • In other news: ABC news has begun reporting on the status of the drying paint on the wall

  • Well obesity according to what metric? The notoriously outdated and inaccurate BMI?

  • Thank goodness for the watchdogs! I’m so glad they’re here. What would we do without them?!?!?

  • Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears repeated 14 times, with 1000 Miles by Vanessa Carlton tossed in once somewhere in the middle.

I imagine they’d feel like they were babysitting their good friend who was blackout drunk but still conscious and who said that “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” was a song that never fails to calm them down. All the while, they’d occasionally remember the feeling that they were doing a good thing by making sure their friend didn’t choke on their own vomit that kept reappearing every hour or so.

  • So glad Biden is so concerned about following the law that protecting vulnerable people with his newly granted immunity is something he would never consider doing.

  • “Republicans” “Fume”

I don’t lend any credence to headlines like this anymore. I saw way too many headlines about how “young voters hate Trump” and clearly that meant nothing when election day came so I wish these “news” organizations would shut the fuck up with this bullshit. Just because 2 people do something doesn’t make it news.

  • Fine, it’s been a meme for long enough so I’ll bite.

What about this Saddam Hussein graphic was so funny that it made it worth meming? Like what element to this joke am I missing?

  • I installed Bazzite Nvidia edition and HDR worked fine (after manually configuring gamescope) and then one day the HDR options for my monitor in the display settings panel disappeared and gamescope’s HDR stuff stopped working and I still can’t figure out why.
