    I appreciate the point that having the mental acuity to observe one’s self in a moment as they are without judgement is akin to observing “reality”

    Where the comparison falls down for me lies in how I define reality and science though

    Reality - shared truth

    Science - peer reviewed facts

    Individuals observations during meditation cannot be verified full stop an argument could be made that without abstraction and outside observation the could be studied and quantified.

    Thank you for your thoughts I mean no offence and look forward to any perspective that compels you to believe otherwise:)

  • As someone who has been a grunt, been a skilled labourer in high demand, been middle management and a small business owner operator can confidently say that the race to the bottom is littered with exploitation and leeches all the way down 😂

    The existing business ecosystem systems are inadequate to operate outside of the capitalist incentive and public service systems pieced together to work in tandem with the “free market” are equally pitiful at balancing efficiency and equality.

    We my friends are so very doomed lol fractured societies in competition at every level of organization compelled to act in their own interest while our collective demise looms.

    But my therapist says I have negative tendencies so maybe it’s not so grim lol

  • Why are epitaphs on headstones so brief, minimal, and contain little to no biographical information about the deceased?

  • You could certainly massage Grist into something that checks most of those boxes might have to get creative with widget fields to have people mark themselves as active on a given task. But similar to some advanced notion templates databases can back end most anything you can think of!

  • Hey megaman sounds like you could use a creative hobby rather than a consumptive one! There are lots of foss tools out there for making video games if that’s your primary interest!

    You should check out some indie titles for inspiration and take a crack at learning some of the skills involved with making a game could be fulfilling and potentially financially rewarding down the road at the same time!
