  • There's dozens of us! DOZENS!!!

  • This is exactly why, as a graphic designer, I'm currently trying to upskill into other areas. I have reached the peak in my career as just a graph designer and no one will want to hire me at my current salary. So for now, I work at a big evil corporation that can pay my salary while I learn skills that can maybe help me get a different job later at a higher salary. So maybe I can get a more morally sound job as something else like a project manager or something else boring, but bring my design skills with me that can help these smaller companies improve their brand and UX.

  • I remember wat a video about this. But I definitely prefer the taste of Mexican coke. Then it hit me, I think it might taste different depending on what material the packaging is. I have this same issue with coffee. I can taste if it was sitting in a plastic mug vs a ceramic one. So, theoretically, I think people might just like the taste of coke from a glass bottle.

  • Well then it sounds like that's not it. Could maybe also be a nutrient issue. Some of the larger vegetables tend not to grow as big when there's a lack of specific nutrients like calcium. But again, I've never grown radishes so I don't exactly know what they need.

  • Is this happening to just your radishes, or is it happening to other root vegetables too? I have never grown radishes but I have had this issue with beets and carrots and found out the hard way that a lot of newer subdivisions will scoop off most of the top soil and only leave a little bit before you hit clay. The lack of soil prevents things like root vegetables from growing larger. If you know that's not an issue, then it's probably something else.

  • You can also use "-fuck" which has the added benefit of removing a lot of the ads that appear. Because you know... They can't be associated with that kind of search.

  • Oh really? Here I am thinking you just show up to a beach and go to town 😆

  • I've always wanted to try to do something like this but I also have so many questions about the medium. Like is there a special sand/water ratio to get the best structure? Are there special tools you use to sculpt? What do you do about the extra sand you remove? It's all so fascinating!

  • We bid 10k under asking price because the owner ripped the place up and it needed tons of work. They said they would not accept any offers under asking. We thought about it and decided the house was in the perfect location and made the offer at asking price. They also were not happy about that because this was in 2021 and everything was selling for a ton over asking price. Thing is, those houses you could move into with minimal changes. This house needed abatement and a gutted bathroom and kitchen. We were the only offer and they begrudgingly accepted and tried every which way to nickel and dime us before closing.

  • Same here. I only eat beef a few times a year as a treat both for health and environmental reasons. But coffee and chocolate so high up the list is more of a killer for me. I definitely enjoy a couple cups per day as well as at least one bite of dark chocolate. Probably should cut back now that I can't claim ignorance.

  • I agree. Some kids need extra motivation to get them to practice reading so it really shouldn't matter how dumb the subject matter seems. Whatever gets them to open a book and practice is good.

  • At my first job that literally employed 10 people, the internal IT manager left for a better job. He had been working for them for 5 years and did all sorts of things that weren't in his job description much like all of us since there were, you know, 10 of us. I remember them complaining about not getting any applications and also asking me in the marketing department about how to entice new candidates. My coworker and I looked at the job posting which required 10 years of experience for entry level pay and both suggested that they either need to pay more or reduce the experience required. Their excuse for not doing so basically amounted to that they were paying the previous guy this amount so surely they don't need to pay more. Except... He left? Because of money most likely? It baffled me how they just couldn't connect the dots there.

  • JD Vance eats his tacos from the bottom pass it on.

  • In the US it's cheap but unregulated and full of shit that's terrible for you. Or you can pay an arm and a leg for stuff that's better but still not up to the standards of most other countries. I learned this by getting a chemical burn in my eye from sunscreen... meant for my face.

  • My inlaws took in a Russian family a few years back. It was quite the culture shock for them to get a giant jar of pickled tomatoes and drink hole glasses of the brine. I like pickles and all, but that's just too much 😆

  • JD Vance only eats the cat food part of lucky charms pass it on.

  • What about kombucha? Ice tea? Water?!?! Would be nice to know that anything you consume regardless of how healthy or not doesn't contain micro plastics or other contaminants.

  • I have no sources for this so take with a grain of salt... But I've heard that Tesla turns off self driving just before an accident so they can say it was the drivers fault. Now in this case, if it was on while it drove on the tracks I would think would prove it's Tesla's faulty self driving plus human error for not correcting it. Either way it would prove partly Tesla's fault if it was on at the time.
