29·8 months agoI’m fine with an EV that only has a 100 mile range. Im just not willing to pay more that $15k for it. It obviously can be sold for that much. I don’t need a seat warmer or even powered windows, just a box with windows.

What a tragedy. I thought Israel wanted to save these people but the hospital bombings prove they just wanted a war. To them no one is worth protecting in Gaza, not even their own people.
127·10 months agoThere’s more info than that. They actually drove him to the bank like gangsters, waiting for him to withdraw the money. They seemed reluctant to get another credit card machine and wasted a bunch of time trying to get cash. Oh and that watch was his personal property he was auctioning off for charity so it’s not like he was trying to sell it to buy some supplements. The Germans really came off as buffoons with this one. It’s not like he wasn’t good for it or couldn’t be trusted.

It is shocking. None of my close friends there have kids, nor seem to want one. Food is still relatively cheap but the other costs of living compared to wage are ridiculous

There was an explosion of Chinese punk/alt bands late 90s/ early 2000s but they gave way to hip hop/pop. Still a decent scene in Beijing. One of my favorite bands from that era is called Wood pushing melon (木推瓜).
