  • I did the same, lost 30 pounds since. I just don't have the mental strength to avoid snacks when I'm anxious, stressed or depressed. It's the only thing that worked for me.

    You meant something like : it's not more racist than before, it's just a random fascist output that got blown out of proportion.

    And there has to be fascist outputs since it's statistical and there is fascism in the training data.

    So I have no idea, I don't use grok, not sure if they edited their AI for that further recently or not.

  • Statistical doesn't mean it can't spit out what they want.

    They can train or fine tune the AI for praising Hitler, they can alter the default prompt to hit a more right wing dataset, they can have filters that retry when the answers are not what Musk expects...

    There are a ton of ways to get fascist output from an AI.

  • The annoying thing is, you can't put an image in the default select from browsers. So you have two choices :

    1. Make a custom select -> it's complicated and will break on some machines.
    2. Use emoji flags -> windows do not have an image pack for flag emoji, and chrome didn't bother implementing their own (Firefox did), so it displays the initials instead.

    So whatever you do will not be universally supported, thank you Microsoft.

  • It may not be easy to see because the screenshot isn't perfect, and lemmy compress it further, but the jpg clearly has some artifacts while the webp is slightly blurry.

  • I just did a test with the first png I found and it looks like the default were lossless, hence why compression ratio were bad.

    Here the webp in smaller than the jpeg and noticeably better. Maybe it would be different for different kinds of picture, with colours, more details and stuff, but here it is clear.

    For now I stand corrected, webp is better.

  • So this is why I had no release on tachiyomi yesterday- I knew it would happen but fuck

    I recommend using some modern tachiyomi fork like tachiyomiSY, because even if your website gets shut down you can move your reading history to a new source and not lose your progress or downloads.

    Firefox- yeah Mozilla is making questionable decisions. But it's the best we have.

  • The feds have a database of cp and basically every major service, WhatsApp probably included, use it to check for a match. I'm guessing he meant this. I don't think WhatsApp actually scans the images outside of that tho.
