  • I'm ashamed that I once photoshopped Wish.com Mario Lopez into various Dark Souls armor to send to my friends in relation to John Mullaney's Dean Cain joke.

  • Leave Poland alone and get to the polls, dammit.

  • The Taliban has Guns and Mountains though, so only the Rockies and the Appalachians stand a chance. The Midwest would get rolled so hard.

  • I did play a bunch of BFV but I wouldn't say I liked it more than 1942. My time spent on BFV was mostly mucking about with friends which was probably the ideal way to play that one.

  • BF3 was certainly really good but maybe I can show my age by saying 1942 and Vietnam were at the very least the start of the plateau, if not the real peak.

  • Plenty of dudes did both. A furry is the guy who designed pilots cooling systems for their suits...

Because he made it for a fur suit first.

  • That's Postal 2 - I think an early day of the week like day 2. Having to go to the mall and wait in line.

  • Well, if you burn them and inhale the smoke then you'll increase your risk. Burning them is one of the express purposes for selling them, ipso facto - warning label.

  • Get paid, then don't do your job. Best of both worlds.

  • I'd say fill up out of state and bring your own snacks but... I'm not sure it'd be good to contribute to any of the surrounding states either.

  • You don't have to live there, just go visit Big Bend.

  • You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

They elect politicians who lie to them because any time they encounter a new thought they revert to fear and racism.

But also remember that over 4.8 million Texans voted against Trump which is more than the population of at least half of the other states in America. There are more Democrats in Texas than people in other states. Many of their votes are not heard due to the Republicans in power and, not to mention, local candidates who run as Democrats and turn coat.

AND that's not even counting how 'right wing' Democrats are. Yeah, 'proud Texans' by and large suck. You're not wrong.

  • There's more than a few good things. Near cities, lots of diversity - so, Indian, Syrian, Nigerian, and Texas BBQ all within five miles of each other. Farther out from cities, lots of natural beauty. A bunch of state parks, beautiful dark sky areas, and so on. The weather isn't terrible once you acclimate unless you really like rain.

That said, it's 90% cult speaking when people say that. Texas is the cool thing to say because guns and Jesus. Most Texans stay indoors and don't care about anything more than that nearest shipping mall or grocery store. Most Texans just go to fast food joints. Austin is a shit city.

But, with how big Texas is, it would be really hard to say there's not something to love. Not the politicians or the fake freedom but there's something.

  • Twin Snakes was an MGS1 remake - MGS2 was never on the GC but Substance was it's first console release on Xbox to my knowledge.

  • I trust my family. Trust them enough that they have the passcode to my phone and can easily open it at any time.

But I'm not sharing location. How will I sneak out to buy gifts if they get a notification when I leave work? Nope.

  • It also takes resources to onboard a new employee and you don't want to spend that on someone who is gonna bounce in six months.

  • I consider myself to be 'techie' for lack of a better word. I have custom janky solutions for everything. I have in the past written down a blue screen and troubleshooted it to give the IT team notes... Hell, I used to be the guy IT would call if they received a ticket from my office (anyone in my office) because I could give them more details and such... So, I like computers and shit, right?

And holy fuck I don't get the Linux world. I used Mint back in '13ish and it was fine but in a different place back then. I use Pop_OS! on my laptop and I like it just fine. I use Ubuntu on my secondary computer and I like it just fine. I don't get what I'm supposed to prefer about all these different distros/environments. I can't wrap my head around it. Do y'all change OSes that often? Am I missing out on something? Am I wrong or are y'all the kids who are wrong?
