  • You could use the Steam Controller wired too. That's how I played most of the time.

  • I keep feeling like the writing is a few years behind.

Seriously, an episode on cultural appropriation? That hasn't been a big thing for a hot minute - moreso by anyone writing for a 'big' magazine in Dallas of all fucking places.

  • Beards? My hair starts at the top of my head and ends at my toe knuckles. My beard hair goes up to my cheek bones, down to the underside of my jaw and entirely down my neck to connect to my chest hair. I have to regularly shave my neck, shape and trim my beard.

I mean, I like my facial hair just fine, I just wish I didn't have random solid white patches where my body decided to quit due to stress on me.

I'd really rather shoot myself than deal with grooming my face in general but I'd rather limit the parts I have to shave if I must.

  • Right but if you're trying to score political points and ensure you can bend a open source project to your will, you do.

Not saying they're right for doing it but it's not so outside the realm of possibility that we should say "who does that?"

  • I'm sure you're aware that businesses, especially with donations of that size, might engage in emailing contacts prior to donating...

  • Here's $100 but you have to spend it on materials for research, not executive salaries. It's called a restricted donation. You may hear that colleges and universities have million dollar endowments but still send out fundraising emails. This is because you might get a $200k donation from an alumni that is only to be used on tuition for student athletes and, yeah, you take that money because that means $200k that you don't need to spend there... But that you can only spend there.

So you've got to keep that money around unless you use it for those things.

All grants come with strings. You can go to grants.gov and click on hundreds of them.

  • Muh-weep Muh-weep Muh-weep

  • thats all

  • Fine, females, fine, fellas. Alliteration, my dude? "Wonderful on women, worse on... Whitey?" "Great for girls (er...), garish on guys" "Mejor para mujeres, es peor para papas"

Yeah, there's better ways to do it but it's more effort than anyone should put in to a shit post.

  • I took an almost 50% pay cut leaving a job once. I received training, skills and equipment and I use those to support things I am aligned with. Now I work a job that doesn't pay as well and isn't quite so reprehensible, then on the side I assist in-need charities and groups.

I assume FOSS dudes taking Microsoft money can at least steer the ship to try to funnel more effort to those programs or at least use the insider knowledge to improve the code base overall.

  • Yeah, this will be so helpful when I'm trying to figure out 20% of 36.23!

Look, move the decimal one to the left, you've now got 10%. Double that and you've got 20%. How often are y'all trying to find out percentages of nice even numbers like that?

  • Federal Jobs are (previously) stable and offer good benefits. Pay is lower but you get guaranteed days off and clear expectations for work.

  • She said it herself, her kids' insurance rates will go up. That's money out of her pocket, therefore bad, therefore we should reconvene the house to prevent it.

  • Trump 1 should've been the warning sign for everyone. They're not kicking him for voting, they're kicking him for voting for a twice impeached rapist who already fucked the economy once.

  • Nintendo Developer Kit

  • So you're saying there's some open real estate for Nazis to flee to...

  • I always say "I love driving which is why I hate driving anywhere." I would love to have a fleet of vehicles I could really drive but laws, traffic, maintenance, etc. Driving isn't fun in the same way other things are because you need a lot of space or a lot of money to enjoy it. Drawing? I can do that with a No. 2 I swiped from IKEA. Can't exactly take my commuter to Monza without running up a bill.

  • I'd argue that is a totally valid way of playing - half the game is designing homes after all. A quarter is doing the life sim thing and the other quarter is removing ladders from pools.

  • So, you did ask for this?

  • I played 200 hours of MGSV with the Steam Controller. I love it.

I hate playing Xcom with the Steam controller which, arguably, it should be better at.
