I wonder if any of these kids are getting paid enough, and smart enough, to be saving money to flee the US within a few years, if a mood swing makes things go bad for them.
The economics of a charging station seem a little weird. It's, maybe, averaging, $20 per hour for the customer.
What percentage of that is going to the electricity?
Theoretically the machines are simple without moving parts, and most malfunctions should just be users breaking parts. Or software needing a reboot. So maybe low cost to run, after the initial price?
EV charging might just need to have an attendant. Increasing reliability and convenience up front would be an investment in that charging company's future.
It's so frustrating how hard it is to get hardware working. I'm sad it's not further along, but actually super impressed by the people who keep working on it.
