When Reddit went public it was scooped up by hedgies and other nefarious actors. Slowly but surely it is changing for the worse. I just got booted from Reddit on a 9 year account (as an added bonus they nuked my other 2 accounts as well even though no posts near time of nukage) for pretty tame (compared to other stuff I have seen) stuff. I predict that Reddit will be indistinguishable from truth social within 5 years or less.

As a boomer whose parents (both) were in world war 2, I listened to what the horrors that were perpetrated by the fascists and axis on the daily until I was a teen. I saw shows, testimonials and documentaries that all disappeared in the late 70’s and replaced with tamer stuff. I would rather die than live in a fascist regime.

Yes I ignored Lemmy on the list thinking oh they are good and mentally omitted it. No longer on Reddit for sure now. I seem to have been IP banned. Create a new account and post the most innocuous post and bam within 5 mins account banned. Rinse, repeat. Gonna fart around with my VPN to see in the next few days.
Yes, I am 67 yrs old. Far as I know I am on a different system (Lemmy) than all those others? Got wiped on Reddit and quit all the other ones years ago. Sorry if I am doing this incorrectly.

I have found it is useless trying to have discourse with them. I just meow at them. It’s fun and confuses them.
I don’t use any of those. Quit Facebook 10 years ago and never really used the others. I just got booted (the account was literally vapourized)off of Reddit after 9 yrs today. Posted a pic of a hat that said is he dead yet. No text just the pic. I don’t care anymore really as once Reddit went on the stock market it was all over anyhoo.
Just do not under any circumstances go to the Insurify website and use them. They have been sending me quotes nonstop for all sorts of things for over a year now and I can’t get rid of them. No amount of this is junk mail or reporting or anything like that. It just comes from another server on and on and on.
