I get that flagellation of americans is the norm, but the US support for the Iran war was 27% as of a week ago and will likely fall further as atrocities continue, whereas the Jewish Israeli support is 93% (arab israelis are just slightly less pro-war than the average american, with 26% support level). The war is far more in the interests of one country and it's population than the other's and i don't get why there's this insistence to endlessly pretend that it's not.

Imo it's not contradictory to think that the US is probably incapable of achieving it's aims in the region, but that its perfectly capable of causing the collapse of any unified state, the deaths of tens of thousands of people if not more and ruining the lives of tens of millions while trying
