  • Heart of palm as well

  • There is regulation about rainwater management for parking lots as well.

Parking lots manager are required to setup systems to let the rainwater infiltrate the soil

  • Safety glasses exist with tinted glass as well

  • By itself, it's does not solve anything.

However it gives some extra data that can be used by the printer firmware.

The NFC tag contains data about the right printing temperatures, the color, the amount of filament left in there spool ...

So a lot of QOL features can be developed with that. For example

    • having a message of the amount of filament left in not enough to finish the print I'm about to start,
    • auto adjust temperatures depending on the loaded filament,
    • importing a library of available filament in the slicer just by taping the spool on the NFC reader.
    • using this library of filament for multicolor/multi material printing. So instead of printing selecting each head individually in the slicer and then having to remember to load the right filament, right color in each head you can just select the filament you actually want and the printer will manage.
  • France did that.

Since 2023, for every parking lot bigger than 1500m², new or already existing, solar panel coverage has to be installed before 2026 or 2028.

The solar panels need to cover at least half the parking lot area.

Another requirement is rainwater management system that cover at least half of the parking area. It can be rainwater collection, trees ... Anything that allows rainwater to infiltrate the soil.

PS: for americans, 1500m² is equivalent to 372 king size beds, or 1/2500 central park

  • The far right voted against the tax, they are pretending to care about workers but every time they vote in favor of the richest.

  • I love borscht.

You can also start fermenting beetroots to add to the soup, I think traditionally the recipe was using fermented beets.

It quite easy to do, lacto-fermented vegetables have a lot of health benefits and it being umami and a slight tanginess to the soup that brings it to a complete new level.

  • Me, trying to find where did I put the tool that I had in my hand 2 minutes ago

  • I have an EV but did not know about BYO cable, so I went to check what it means and yeah, every AC charger I've encountered in Europe is like that. Just a plug, in some cases it's even protected with a metallic cover that unlocks once you've entered your payment information.

It does not work for fast DC charging though.

  • About reparability, kobo has a partnership with ifixit for parts and repair guide.

  • You can have a look at Docs

It's developed by the French and German government with the goal of replacing google docs for governments workers.

  • I've never seen these in my life, I live in France.

  • Safran Aircraft Engines (the French part of the CFM consortium) knows how to design and manufacture fighter jet engines.

They are doing the M88 that powers the Rafale.

  • There is legislation about that. Not in the US of course, but in France and I think other European countries there is laws requiring to turn off ads, light in empty parkings lots, street lights ... In the middle of the night.

  • History books in a few decades are going to be crazy!

  • Even better: a "Dutch roundabout" with protected cycle lanes.

For any north American panicking at the idea of a roundabout, come in France. In a week you'll have seen more roundabouts than in your entire life in the US.

  • I don't want to imagine the level of procrastination I would have if I were immortal.

  • This is what peak corkscrew looks like in my opinion:
