  • Might have been the plan all along, or at least the backup plan.

There's only around 50,000 people in Greenland, it's about as populous as a mid-size college town. All the US really has to do to soft take over is increase their presence on the Island, feel like that's probably going to be a focus of this task force from the US side. Logistics are problematic but the US has singular military bases that are significantly more populated than the entire country. If US presence outnumbers native presence, I feel like future Greenland independence talks could become interesting in a way that might not work out well.

  • Closest I could find, from Wikipedia:

tenné is a "stain", or non-standard tincture, of orange (in English blazonry), light brown (in French heraldry) or orange-tawny (in continental heraldry) colour.

  • Morris, putting him in a kart removes the only weakness of the moose.

  • The worst part is that he's just a few steps away from having a process.

You've started an experiment and set up a test but just zero follow through or data recorded.

  • For me, the deciding point comes from what color they made the merchandise. You'll find a rare item in green, but 90% of the items out there are in yellow.

To me, that's a decision to make yellow canon.

  • Love you too buddy.

  • I might be a bit too socialist, but I think that's the ideal. We should strive to elevate the worst off among us and that should be a cornerstone of modern society.

Kind of feel like we're failing until we get to the point where we can't tell who the bottom 10% is. It's almost the same concept as "No One is Free until we are all Free".

  • It's too bad, every option for modding items running through proton honestly sucks.

Yes, it's 100% doable, but Vortex was our only shot right now at getting it to the level where an average non-technical user could feel comfortable with it.

  • For people who forgot which one Ashli Babbit was:

On January 6, 2021, Ashli Babbitt was fatally shot during the attack on the United States Capitol. She was part of a mob of supporters of then-outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump who stormed the United States Capitol seeking to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. At the time of her killing, Babbitt was a 35-year-old United States Air Force veteran and a supporter of QAnon, a far-right conspiracy theory.

  • I do feel really apprehensive about Bandit standing in for the change my mind guy.

  • I even looked at the territories Russia separates itself into for governance, and it maybe matches a bit?

I feel like we're heading towards a world where we're just going to have to accept that whoever made this image just randomly took a sharpie to the map.

  • Their roll-out schedule for games is definitely unexpected, not making the new Pokemon a switch 2 exclusive was specifically a real weird move for Nintendo. Even if it wasn't a mainline game, that's usually their 'sell that new console' line.

Definitely grateful, but I really wonder why Nintendo isn't pushing Switch 2 games more.

  • My first guess was that the middle area is vaguely close to the shape of greenland.

  • Honestly, maybe...

Most advice is a pretty generic reminder to listen to your partner and treat them like a person. That's something you know is a good idea as a concept pretty early on in life, but it's just real easy to get complacent.

  • I would say clear coat it, but if you're doing that, you might as well paint it and I know that may be more than you want to get into.

My process is covering with a light coat of plastruct, sand it (around 800 grit usually gets it done), prime it, then clear coat and it usually looks better than new. Clear coat alone will go a long way.

  • We have a few mildly dangerous ones and I have kids.

Our rule is if the spider stays in his world we leave it alone, if it's in ours, they may be out of luck. The doorway is a neutral zone along with usually the entryway and questionably the kitchen.

  • I just wish we could have wider demographics, without adding more nazis ideally.

Lemmy leans heavy on Tech and light on Creative and other areas.
