  • Only can own ARs then

  • This is not a singular issue. That’s still millions who prefer the US to be car centric, and they fight to keep it that way. Just move to Europe

  • Dammit, we were so close. He’s another sellout? Where are the progressive, yet pragmatic liberals at?

  • In retrospect. Hillary REALLY needed to win 2016. Trump got to appoint THREE justices in ONE term. Beyond lucky, that was the ball game. Without the 6-3 SCOTUS, trump most likely would’ve been in jail before the 2024 election, granted he probably wouldn’t have president either in this timeline and would’ve just kept being a corrupt celebrity.

But yeah, throwing Justices in jail isn’t an official act.

  • You just answered your own question, apart of his job (official acts). Throwing judges in jail, even if they deserve it, isn’t the president’s job. The judges would have to be properly investigated and prosecuted. Which if a judge is going down for corruption, might as well draw a target on Congress 😭.

Only was the president CAN throw them in jail by himself, is calling a national emergency and arresting judges off the bases they’re domestic terrorists. And he BETTER be able to prove it, or it’s curtains for him

  • “I’m not afraid - to throw a chair”

“It was from IKEA - so I don’t care”

    “I’m bumping into people!”

  • Thought that was half pike, gave me THUG 2 flashbacks in Boston

  • Believe it or not, a lot of those protesters actually prefer pragmatic institutions, and will accept reform over radical change.

  • But he isn’t…..and he can’t…..

  • You’re arguing 2 different things than what was said prior. I’m talking about taxes. Taxes are legislative creation. Not executive. Congress decides deductions, rates and credits. Then once passed and signed by the president. The executive branch, under the president enforces them through the IRS and Treasury. They can’t change the actual tax rates. Only Congress can (hence why I always say, the senate is America’s biggest enemy).

You’re talking about Trump freezing or restricting funding. Which he can totally do. But that just it, freezing and restricting by EO. The money dosent move anywhere until Congress passes to cut it, which they did with the Big Bullshit Bill.

If Biden tried to move approved funding from military aid to let’s say, SNAP and housing. He had the courts getting in his way and would need everyone who works in the treasury and handling federal funds to be onboard. Because if Biden loses the court case (which he will), those who aided him in moving funds from 1 major program to another (you can do narrow moves) would be liable as well.

What Trump is doing is a classic case of delay until they run out of money to fight in court. Trump isn’t really cutting funding, he’s “reviewing it”. But he’s already lost a ton of cases anyways because the JUDGES aren’t buying it. If the Big Bullshit Bill didn’t pass, Trump’s entire budget plan would be cooked.

  • I can’t wait for the headline “ICE arrest Melania Trump under the suspicion she’s here illegally”.

  • lol, wish it was that easy. But nah, the presidential immunity protects can’t fire justices or A3 judges. They’re in that shit for LIFE.

The best move is to just expand SCOTUS to like 13 seats and a Dem president appoints a bunch of liberal justices. If Dems can get a majority in the senate and everyone’s on board, they can definitely do it. Just gotta get all 50 or more senators on board with the nuclear option. Problem is, if republicans gain power, now with the precedent set, they’d expand SCOTUS even more and pack it with conservative justices, and they’d most likely keep going back and forth until we’re at like 2050 with like 60 judges on the Supreme Court 😂. But fuck it, let’s do it.

  • I’m just happy people are gettin out of the house and communicating with eachother. Society needs that.

  • Nah bruh. The presidential immunity protects from criminal prosecution, not overcoming legislative limits.

Congress (senate) controls the purse and taxes are congressional powers (Article 1, Section 8). And Joe Manchin was dead set on not raising taxes, because he’s a dumbass.

Biden has plenty of faults, but taxes was out of his control unless Manchin got his head out of his ass.

  • The Dems don’t even have to do it, just like how they didn’t the first time. The courts and prosecutors will. Trump will most likely find a way out thanks to SCOTUS’ immunity, but everyone else is fucked.

  • I wish the constitution was done 😭. But I know the second a Dem president gets in office and tries to enact parody campaign funding or court debt relief, the 6-3 SCOTUS will strike it down as unconstitutional.

  • They still NEED the votes though

  • Idk why but I read this as “Federal Governor”, lol. What if the president was called Federal Governor

  • Not a leftist? Does that mean he actually knows how to balance the budget and be pragmatic to achieve progress?
