This guy and his name calling lol. What grade is he in?
"I won the Debate." - lol, what?? There were no points. No one won. It was merely a chance for each candidate to appeal to the voters.
"Everyone knows this" - No they don't. If everyone knew that, he wouldn't be saying it just like he's not saying that we're on planet Earth because everyone already knows that.
"KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD." - She was the Vice President. Her role is basically to break ties in the Senate and go to social gatherings to fill in for the President.
"THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!" - Cause he saw how much it affected him in the polls. If the debate had helped him, he'd be calling for more debates. It would make no sense to be losing but declining debates because it helped the polls.
He must have seen how stupid he looked up there. She was laughing at him with his stupid pet-eating rant. The dude tanked his chances with that part alone. The "concepts of a plan" was just a bonus.

That submarine was trailing the Russian ships the whole time, the Russian ships had no idea, and there are more submarines in the waters nearby. The whole purpose was to show the Russian ships that they are sitting ducks.

I argued like a couple having a fight with a psychiatrist about me being autistic when I was hospitalized once. We had a literal antagonized fight over me being autistic in front of two other doctors. She raised her voice at and wouldn't believe me even though I told her I had been diagnosed by a psychologist that administered the ADOS, have seen said psychologist for months, my friends that are psychologists are confident I'm autistic, and that I was in special ed classes since 4th grade. I was seeking absolutely nothing related to it; I just happened to mention it in passing when I said I didn't like sleeping at the hospital and missed my bed.

This became the psychiatrist's last stand against Big Autism. She wasn't going to let a patient undermine her absolute authority by them giving her information that she needed to have a thorough understanding of the case. Who do I think I am to know and have an opinion about my entire life and well-being?? As soon as I got home, I threw her prescription in the trash.

I worry about all the other vulnerable patients that she treats and dont have the mental strength to stand up to her, just getting drugged up for whatever would validate her need for control over others.

Bonus: When I was receiving the discharge brief, she raised her voice at and put down a nurse that asked a question about my discharge instructions. Everyone's faces in the room were straight blank like this 😐. I guess they were used to her abuse.

What industry do you work in and what are the LPT the general public should know about it?

Tertiary education: university professor.

LPT: Talk to your professor and ask questions!!

I have so many students that don't perform well because they didn't understand some material. I'm seriously getting paid to help you understand it, but I can't present it in a way that works perfectly for every student since they all have their own learning styles. I also wont know if they aren't getting it of no one speaks out.

I want:

to help
everyone to learn the material
to talk about science because I'm a super nerd
what is and isn't working for you in class
students to show up to office hours

I don't:

expect anyone to already know something they haven't learned about
care if you ask me a million questions
want you to perform poorly
want you do go to the field unprepared
like it when students treat me like they are bothering me
grade papers that are ridiculously wrong because students didn't try to ask me for help

The vast majority of university professors are obsessed with what they teach, so much so, that they made a career out of talking about it. Asking then about it would make their day. If you go up to one that seems like they're being bothered, then that's the exception. Don't let that one stop you from engaging with all of the others.

Note: This is true for almost all courses. However, there are some courses in certain universities that are considered "weed out classes". These classes, typically taken in the first 2 years, are informally designed to have lower performing students fail before they advance too far into the major and find out later that they don't have what it takes to be successful in the field. The professors of those classes are more commonly not helpful at all. Don't give me shit about it because I didn't design this system nor do I teach those classes.

Parents with bilingual children, how did you do it?

I was born and raised in the US. My parents spoke Spanish only. They maybe knew 5 words in English. I grew up learning Spanish fluently at home. Everything else (i.e. school, tv, friends) was in English, so I learned that naturally.

Downside: I feel like it created 2 personalities. I feel emotions, relate to family and romance, and cook in Spanish. I think logically, conduct business, and have friends in English.

I'm almost certain that every state not only requires at least an accredited master's degree, but also a state board license that involves at least 2 years of clinical supervision. However, the supervision is based on the honor system of other licensed therapists, so there isn't much oversight of the quality. Clinical supervisors usually charge for supervision, so there is a conflict of interest.

Maybe talk to your doctor about bupropion (wellbutrin/zyban). It's a unique antidepressant medication that work by inhibiting reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine (other reuptake inhibitors focus mostly on serotonin or norepinephrine). When testing it, they found that many people stopped smoking, so it's now prescribed for people that want to stop using nicotine. You likey wouldn't be on it for long, just a few months until you get the cravings to stop and readjust your life to no nicotine.

I have the opposite problem. I don't eat enough. On several occasions, I have gone upto 3 days without eating. Closer friends are often worried about my nutrition. It's gotten so bad, that my last 3 girlfriends have made it a topic in the relationship, while I have friends that let me come over for dinner literally any day I want. They then makes sure I eat enough.

To me, eating can be such a chore. It's like eating is something I have to do just like showering. I can find it rewarding on some occasions, but unlike showering when I feel brand new afterwards, once I eat, I get dumb, slow, bloated, and feel heavy. If I haven't eaten throughout the day, I feel light, energetic, focused, and free.

Anyway, I find it interesting to be on the other end of unhealthy eating continuum. What about eating makes it hard to stop?

The fuel savings translate into about $600 less in gas costs over the life of a new vehicle, NHTSA projects.

I don't understand this. Let's be extra safe and say I currently drive a car that gets 30 mpg 15k miles per year and the average fuel price was $3.60. If I switched to a vehicle that got 50 mpg, my savings per year alone would be $720.

15,000 mi / 30 mi/g x $3.60/gal = $1,800

15,000 mi / 50 mi/g x $3.60/gal = $1,080

$1,800/yr - $1,080/yr = $720/yr

Still being extra safe, let's assume the car only makes it 100k miles, that's a savings of ~$4,800 for the life of the vehicle.

100,000 mi / 15,000 mi/yr = 6.67 yr

6.67 yr x $720/yr = $4,802.40

$4,800 > $600

Again, this is being safe with a car that is fuel efficient, a person that travels a relatively short amount, and with low fuel prices. What am I misunderstanding??

I visited Colorado ~4 years ago. I remember thinking the people in Denver were impressively nice, especially us being from Florida. But, once we got to our Airbnb a few miles outside of the city, things were different. The Airbnb owner, while still nice enough to meet with and welcome us to his property, just had to talk about politics. It was that victim complex where he was being told what to do by the liberals and blah blah blah... One of the ways he was getting back at them was by encouraging all visitors to feed the wild deer, something that was allegedly made illegal by liberals to control him. Maybe he thought we would care about his politics and even agree with him because we were light-skinned from Florida, I was in the military, and my traveling partner was a cop, but we had far left political views and never asked him to begin with. It made us not want to talk to him anymore.

Fun fact: The Russian Revolution of 1917 went underway when the Russian Navy joined in. I believe it happened just after Bloody Sunday, but I can't find it now. Anyone here remember what the catalyst was for the Russian Navy on some island to join the Russian Revolution?
