  • Giraffe-ic Interchange Format.

  • They're not here that long on this side of the Atlantic, I think the first store opened about 20+ years ago. They're full, but people get sick of it fairly quick. People (in my area) are going back to traditional coffee shops. The gawpy bright Starbucks in a paper cup and crap coffee are definitely on the way out.

  • That just means whatever he is doing, it's working.

They'll have to start banning copycats. Probably would have been better for them if they 🤐

  • And every now and then a sale 🤘 🇪🇺 🤘

  • One of the main points about chat control is that it forces software developers to break their own encryption or face whatever the penalties will be. It is ridiculous and will hopefully be stopped in it's tracks, unfortunately not enough people know about it, and even of the ones that do, not enough of them understand what it is and how dangerous it is. Basically, the governments have seen how lucrative it has been for the big techs, and how advantageous it can be to control our data. They have seen what the Israeli's have been able to do with that information and tech. They want in. It has nothing to do with child protection. If it passes, all politicians better be squeakier and cleaner than squeaky clean. With their data not being scanned, we will likely have to watch them ourselves.

  • Watch the insurance payouts drop dramatically if these go through. Access to all of your medical history.. Insane. Still nothing compared to the proposed EU Chat Control.

  • There is also this from the EDRi - "Sign the petition of the Stop Scanning Me campaign and join thousands of people opposing the attack on our secure communication. As soon as our petition reaches a critical threshold, we will deliver it to decision lawmakers as we did in the past."

  • Woody Allen?

  • What other topics did they ignore? They are mainly a political publication targeting the things that are normally hidden from the greater public in Ireland due to the way that the media is owned and distributed in Ireland. They don't really print any fluff articles about any politicians because that is done enough in the other publications. They are specifically targeting the news that is purposely being suffocated or silenced in Ireland. He also used to work for the Irish Independent.

The Ditch is probably left/centre-left leaning and the government definitely are (no matter what they claim) - so if it finds criticism in them that we are not otherwise hearing, I am all for it.

All governments should be held to accountabilty imo.

Their factual articles way outweigh any issues that you may have with whoever it is you don't know may or may not have donated to it.

Initially when they published a story it was a case that the other publications would challenge it. They have found it more effective if they ignore it, as that was causing them to create something similar to the streisand effect. All of those other publications are biased leaning and can still challenge any articles published in it. They don't, because not only do they not want to bring attention to them, they also know that the ditch is almost always meticulous in their investigating and are factually accurate.

I am not sure if you have any skin in this game, but it certainly seems like it when you are trying to taint credibility about a journalist who did not write the article. The article you can bet is factually correct, your attempts at diluting it's importance are just that.

  • Business does not equal rich. They could be struggling and that may be the final straw for them. The only people really benefiting from that are the insurance companies. Might be worth seeing where they have ties to.

  • It probably wouldn't be that hard to find out which businesses support Israel and its Zionism. Then, while most wouldn't condone it, it would be more palatable. In these videos it just seems like a breakaway group smashing up random businesses that people may be already struggling to try and keep afloat. In many cases it may mean that their insurance premiums will go up, so the only people really benefiting from it are the insurance companies. May be worth looking up if any of those have links to Israel.

  • I was referring to the trashing of local businesses and buildings. Unless they are zionist Israel enablers, I don't know what smashing another country up is supposed to achieve. The mass protest on it's own would get the same message across.

  • The publication is (mostly) well known in Ireland.

As an investigative publication they break many stories that otherwise would have been ignored, as most of the media in Ireland is run or owned by people affiliated with one or the other of the two dominating parties (Fianna Fail and Fine Gael).

The main funder of this website has had his own disputes and grievances with politicians in the past, but does not have any influence over what is published on that. The short of it is, that all of their stories are by investigative journalists, and can be backed up with facts. They haven't (to my knowledge) had any of their stories found to be untrue if that is where you are going with that post.

  • Well done Italy, although I don't agree with the trashing of things and vandalism. I don't even know what that's supposed to achieve. The only thing I can think of is that it will make the German, British and American governments claim that they're right for clamping down on the protests for Palestine.

But with the noise that is being made worldwide, and the headaches that other governments are having to deal with, coupled with Netanyahu's killing of journalists to stop the news getting out and so he can feed his propaganda having the opposite effect, hopefully things will begin to happen and Israel will start to feel some serious pressure. Fuck Trump, fuck Netanyahu.

  • "Making crime illegal would be detrimental for hospitals, electronics stores and insurance companies among others" says Europe's biggest criminal.

  • I know what most people mean when they say it. My concern is when the likes of Disney say it, then pay them to perform for them leading to many kids having complex issues from a very young age, and we already know the woeful story of the child actor and the future adult. You could always ask Corey.

  • I don't find it at all surprising that Disney are on the side of paedophiles... I mean I always had my suspicions from the moment that I heard they specifically look for 'attractive' children and churn them out.

I can't be the only one that always thought that is weird. Children are not attractive.

  • And so it continues... Google trying to shoehorn themselves into a position of authority of the internet. Imagine they get as much sway as the banks now have? Private entities controlling the masses for massive profits. Fuck off Google.
