  • Nice

  • Sure, but normally they'd just disable features or drain battery to force hardware upgrade, what changed?

  • Lol

  • Are we sure? Apple said their privacy features toggles turned off various network data sends but researchers found the buttons do nothing.

To elaborate, Apple has done stuff to forvce people to upgrade phones. Why all of a sudden support such and old phone?

  • Yes, we had a tooling design and it was going to fail because the angles and mechanisms were not right. My boss overruled me, under protest, and we built it how the customer wanted it with no changes.

    It failed in production.

There was a big meeting with everyone upset. I said I told you! And tried to reexplain why it doesnt work. They denied knowing about the issues previously.

Thankfully the president stepped in and said, I was in the initial meeting and remember you warning of the potential failure. Then everyone shut up.

    We redid everything my way.

  • I liked candycorn till one of my kids made a bunch of it at home and pointed out the layers are just food colour and not a different flavour ingredient etc. The facade was ruined.

  • Either an execs kid has an old phone they don't want to give up, or this pushes some update that allows authorities a backdoor. Apple never does effort for free

  • Often not self propelled, some just glide without wheels, and just has electric auger to throw snow forward.

  • Amazon, around $270 for an electric shovel

  • Source for the number of users@ also aurora is a replacement store, google would still call it sideloading to scare users even if the install mechanism is store based

  • The guardian project, f-droid, aurora store, etc etc would disagree with your statement that nobody installs outside of the playstore. GrapheneOS, /E/OS etc don't even have playstore as a default store, you choose to install the playstore if you want Google in your life

  • Except GNOME did exactly that. Sh can't accidentally alter anything. Some people just have a hard time with computers and expected UI. Ever tried watching a good grampa deal with printer install and windows popups...you have to simplify things for less tch savvy people. Just like cars now have auto ebrake and lane assist

  • My friends Oma was dating and old German dude till the news come out and Canada was looking into Nazi crime list. That ended their senior romance quickly.

  • Sexydlics

  • But but the peace deal...

  • I would say Intrusive thoughts are us processing reptilian instincts, and our logic mind countering instinctual behaviours.

People should let them flow through without giving them focus. But I know some people get stuck on them, which seems to make them more active.

  • KDE was a nightmare for my wife since it has the configuration right in the desktop bars and dialogs. Misclicks and drags meant she was making changes she didn't want to. GNOME was a better choice, 100% simple and no surprises.

  • Like how in the UK everyone says they will run the Hoover over the carpet, even though the vacuum cleaner might be another brand

  • Nice.
