  • Gmail reads the images with OCR and adds it to search terms. Your steps are a noble effort to increase reverse engineering effort, however there are image to text desktop apps now so that effort on the receivers side is almost nothing these days.

  • It is if you are subscribed to certain channels, but thankfully we have pro with ability to alter some group policies to block copilot.

  • Yes. Your body would panic immediately.

  • There are some minor tools for small work that have been helpful, but overall it is intrusive slop.

Windows updates keep trying to add back ai.exe and aimgr.DLL to my office folder. Which I delete, because otherwise it randomly hogs CPU and bogs down the computer.

Then every damn app has a new AI panel that is garbage.

  • I'm sure the sleeping in the bath problem would be a sudden awakening when you take your first gulp of water...but a person who's had a lot to drink may not wake up

  • Yep, I know a person on the RCMP, lots of domestic stuff, and lots of cheating on partner

  • These are remote drivers though, who don't have legal license for the west. And my Indian coworkers who moved here, said it was an adjustment in patience and let the laneswitch, and dart out habits die.

Although my one coworker I still don't like driving with, as it's a hold the roof handle type ride.

  • Yep, it was a trove of discovery, now its all data gleaning and AI marketing slop, and other garbage.

  • The issue is a South East Asian not used to staying in your lane like US traffic rules, would make a terrible driver in the USA.

  • That fog lights on cars used to be able to be turned on with headlights off, so you could actually see better in fog. Nowadays the foglights won't turn on on most vehicles if headlights aren't on, which really doesn't help driving, since you still get headlight glare back.

  • Doctor knows your medical history and can review which one is best for you, since there is risk

  • Sounds decent

  • I found that the shiny black chrome looking disks seemed to be better than the purple tint kind. Chemically different media. Its anecdotal, not a scientific tested theory

  • For more money and wasted power. People overbuild quite often.

  • The government should scrap capital gains if you downsize to an appropriate sized house (and can prove you lived there with a larger family and they've moved out, to discourage house flippers just overbuying)

  • Yeah and no. In metro area most homes are allowed to divide basement into 2 legal suites, to maximize density. These aren't empty.

Owner above may have a spare room when kid moves out. What I have seen is East and South Asians will often rent a room out, but whitefolk seem to prioritize single family only. That is a Western hangup.

So empty bedroom doesn't really equate to an indendant unit on the market.

Anecdotally we have downsized as the kids moved out. We had 3500sqft place at one time , now in 800sqft condo as empty nesters.

  • Oui, Oui.

My pi gets 81MB/s non cache HDD read speed over USB.

With an msata SSD into a USB adapter if gets non cache read speed of 437MB/s

I totally get that doesn't compete with a pcie slot msata or nvme.

But it significantly improves access time and transfer.

  • That's what I'm saying too. People keep moving here, because who wants to live in Winnipeg. And so Winnipeg has open units and we have to create more. Empty homes in undesired locations skew the country wide average too look like we have open housing everywhere and therefore house prices aren't a supply/demand problem. But supply and demand is exactly what drives prices up her and low in less nice regions
