  • Yeah I agree with this. Most achievements just don't have the fun or inquisitive nature they should and are pretty much meaningless.

  • Completing the Pokedex is pretty cool.

I've come close to getting all the capsule toys in Shenmue but in the end it was a lot if reloading saves and eventually I gave up. I barley finish any games so doing extra challenges is even rarer for me :/

  • The start of DS is a little rough and it's probably a solid 4 hours to get going. One you do though its top tier walking sim. I'd recommend actually walking and avoiding vehicles as much as possible to.

  • Death Stranding 2

It's more of the same which is great. The game is gorgeous and so far after about 10 hours I'm really enjoying it. I can get lost for hours on a single delivery just walking and exploring everywhere :)

  • I know exactly the trailer you're talking about. Obviously the game didn't turn out that way but in my opinion The Division is an under-appreciated gem. It was absolutely awful at launch though and I think it took over a year to fix and adjust the gameplay.

  • Chance are they will go up in value but it also means holding on to them another 5 years or whatever. Maybe sell them and specifically put the money towards something cool you do want.

  • Lemmy doesn't have the niche communities and people don't want to take the time to customise what it can do for them so get stuck in the same shit as reddit, so then they leave.

    • Games that jump straight into things without letting me see the options menu first.
    • Not having the Playstation icons as a preset when I want to use my PS4 controller on PC.
  • The 360 does still download game updates.

  • Halo: Reach

So I finished up the campaign on Monday and it's still as great as I remember. Noble Team :(

    Satisfactory

Not normally my kind of game but my wife wanted to play together and it's been fun. Our base is a mix of tidyness (her) and absolute mess (me)... So the perfect match.

  • Catalyst is pretty good but I think making it more open takes away the urgency of free running, and that's the most important part.

Mirror’s Edge Was Never Meant to Slow Down

  • Calling it a horrible game is a bit much.

I don't think it's as amazing as people make it out to be but, like you mention, turning off crossplay significantly improves matchmaking and supposedly giving feedback helps balance it even more. Its also a lot more fun with friends but the amount of PVP increases with groups and especially much more with 3 man.

  • Halo: Reach

I thought I'd start the year off by playing through the series using the MCC. Reach is my favourite but I haven't actually finished any of the other so that might change.

  • Have a look at the Heroic Launcher. I remember reading it included a feature to play some Windows games in compatibility mode or something?

Apart from that I guess it's Geforce Now, Amazon Luna etc...

  • Looks good so thanks for the recommendation.

  • Why not?

  • I don't pre-order but I do buy early access games. Unless it's something genuinely limited edition and unique there is not reason to risk buying before release.

    Astro's Playroom

In anticipation for the kids (and me) getting Astro Bot tomorrow I've been finishing up with all the artifacts and puzzle pieces. The game is actuality quite wonderful with the nostalgia and gameplay so I'm really looking forward to playing the next game :)

    Arc Raiders

Its taken me a couple weeks to get in to but I'm enjoying it a lot right now and epecially duos with a buddy because I haven't yet got a proper feel for the maps. Looting games are usually my thing but this one is great.
