I am severely allergic to eggs so no annual flu shot for me but I have gotten multiple COVID shots without issue. I am a bit worried about a combo flu-covid shit in the future and will talk with my doctor about my options. I will say that it is possible to work with a physician or allergist and take half-shots of some vaccines. This is where you take half the shot in two spaced out doses to eventually get full coverage. I will admit that it didn't work for me with the flu vaccine but it was definitely worth a try and the reaction I had wasn't as bad as a full dose.
Fun fact: The inside of the upper beak is where taste buds are located for parrots. Scientists are still studying to find out if this is the case for all types of birds or just some species.
Maize, a point and click/walking simulator/puzzle game about a secret military project to create sentient corn. Quite possibly the silliest game I've ever played.
WTF!? How is the state health board not jumping into a complete investigation of this hospital at this point and/or shutting this place down? I have so many questions. The first of many is how did they "store" this body so that it decomposed to the point of being unrecognizable? This whole thing reads like they let her die from malpractice and then threw the body in a closet to hide the evidence.
Honestly I blame tv for giving people the wrong idea when it comes to seizures. Everyone has this image of a person failing widely and dangerously but that really isn't how most seizures play out. I can understand not recognizing one if you've never seen it before but once you've seen one there's no excuse. The medics on this scene should have known what was happening, no excuse there. They should have their certifications revoked.
One of my parrots (he's since passed away) absolutely loved showers and getting a blow dry afterwards. I would like to think this little guy enjoyed the spa treatment.
My personal fall back to get others to open up in any type of conversation is to start talking about food. Comfort food, junk food, family recipes/traditions; it's all good because people can't help but share when it comes to food. I've learned so much about different cultures and some damn good recipes just talking about food with everyone.
You remember that episode of the Boondocks where Huey watches junk TV and becomes so exhausted and apathetic that he can no longer think for himself by the end of the episode? That's why I refuse to even attempt to listen to Trump. Honestly I think that's how people get suckered in by Trump; he wears down the mind so much that it becomes too much trouble to think.
That's pretty cool! I'll have to check this place out.
