  • Mine had the ability to turn of WiFi in settings. I provided it no real information, didn’t create and account, and didn’t use their app or interface.

It was a Samsung. YMMV with other brands.

  • You can disconnect them from the WiFi and block their ability to connect and then use a third party device for any apps you want.

  • Linux nerds hate to hear Linux is for nerds. The OS is too difficult for the average person and instead of taking in that feedback and fixing the issues, the community just downvotes it and sticks their head in the sand.

Linux isn’t the problem the user is! Yeah, that attitude ain’t helping.

  • The steam hardware survey showed Linux has 3.8% while Mac has 2.2% and windows the remaining 94%

Desktop Linux is niche, it will always be niche if they continue to ignore the user experience. Linux is for nerds, Linux nerds love that.

  • I’ve been having a ton of issue with controller support on Mac for older games. It’s really hit or miss lately and It’s always difficult to find a workaround.

  • “Reid Hoffman has a reality check for entrepreneurs: if you’re serious about starting a company, you should say goodbye to binge-watching your favorite Netflix show after dinner or sleeping in on the weekends—you need to be on the work grind all hours of the day.”

You’re clearly not committed to reading articles either. “It’s a headline, it must be about me. Let me make sure I share my opinion without reading the article!”

Opinions based on false perceptions when the truth is 20seconds of discovery away, is just willful and lazy ignorance. Thats not just a red flag, thats also red hat behavior. You can do better than that if you want to.

  • We can imagine the end of the world. We can imagine the collapse of society, but we can no longer imagine the end of capitalism.

  • EST 346.8million according to Gemini and ChatGPT. 😂

  • 60 million Americans just went to the polls 4 months ago homie. It ain’t about me.

  • Cool ass logo. Very modern and more inline with Firefox’s style. It’s a Much improved design across the board.

Open license it and give it to the project. I’d love to be able to use this in the settings.

  • Step 1. Bookmark Reddit thread

Step 2. Summarize user problem in the thread.

Step 3. Copy and paste the following “Have you had any issues with alarm clocks on Google Pixel lately? Let us know in the comments below.”

Step 4. Publish to the CMS

Step 5. Watch the bots seed slop article to social media.

    21 century tech journalism.

  • Linux community doesn’t help the user friendly nature of the OS, that’s true. Steam deck runs Linux so if it works on steam deck it will likely work on Linux mint or Ubuntu.

Lots of terminal help and outdated forum posts make it feel difficult to manage Linux, you’re right it is overwhelming and it’s not going to have full software compatibility, but if you spend lots of time in the browser and rely on web services it works fairly well over all and is generally low maintenance if you stick to the App Store and use graphic user interfaces.

  • Roku devices and fire sticks belong in the recycle bin.

I switched everything to Apple TV .

  • You’re entitled to your opinion. Is there anything else you’d like to say?

  • Your inability to deal with loss is what will inevitably hold you back. You chose to argue, and you lost. You won’t get a stomach ache from swallowing your pride, but you will isolate yourself to a sad echo chamber if you choose to block and sedate everyone and everything that hurts your feelings.
