  • It's always about vetting the source. YouTube can be a source of news, just like articles online can be a source of news. But you have to ask yourself if the author and/or publisher is credible.

That's why I hate every single little "infographic map" that gets posted on repeat. There's often no traceable source at all. And people just accept it as fact because it aligns with their world view.

  • It's fine if you like banksys art, i do too, we have a saying that "you can get away with things as long as you keep it clean". (Poorly translated)

If the owner or rightsholder of the property he defaced/vandalised/painted on, decides to restore it, sell it, keep it, whatever. That's entirely up to them. Always was.

There's no "dynamic", he wants to make a statement, so he goes out and vandalises a piece of property to amass attention. In theory, it's no different than the "just stop oil" people trying to throw paint at the Mona lisa or some random stores windows. Vandalism is vandalism.

Ofc he also produces art that isn't vandalism. But he rose to fame for his vandalism. I think it's with keeping in mind.

  • Dude, there's no way you can argue your way into making someone feel bad for not wanting to risk their life in a violent resistance against their own government.

That's a choice every person have to make for themselves. You don't know them. You don't know their situation.

You seriously need to take a step back and sit down.

  • I'm gonna tell you of a little "secret" to how you can instantly up your cinnamon roll game.

Apart from the dough that you already got down, I like to use butter, cinnamon, and cardamom as filling, but that's just personal taste (But try it if you haven't!)

And then, the super easy method to making them look FANTASTIC, Once you've applied your filling, you fold the dough over, then you cut stripes, you can experiment with thickness but about 3cm/1 inch is a good baseline Then you cut that stripe in half but not all the way. Like if you're drawing a pair of pants with long legs. Then simply start twisting each leg in opposite directions, then twist those together, grab your "pants" by the waist, and then just wrap it around your finger to a bun-ish shape.

Looks really fancy, but it's super easy. And you can also beat an egg in a cup and brush the bun with it (just a thin layer), gives it that glossy look.

  • Every country have criminals and guns. The difference is how available they are to the general public. And what type of guns.

Anyone in the US that isn't a convicted felon can buy a handgun as soon as they turn 21. And there are very few laws on how you're required to store them.

Compared to Europe where it's incredibly rare for an average citizen to have access to a handgun.

  • Defending Stalin, period. Is crazy. He arguably killed more people than Hitler...

  • It was Moses that received them. Contrary to popular belief. Moses did not speak English. I think it would be entirely appropriate to have the 10 commandments in their original language. Which I will assume was Classic Hebrew

  • No... no no no. Stop.

The moment you start saying "if he was an informant" you are already enabling the next step. It doesn't matter if you think it's bad "even if he was". He wasn't. Don't even play their game. That's how they win.

The next step will be, "He was an undercover informant". And you will say "even if he was..." and on it goes until it's downplayed to where they want it.

Don't you see, it's already gone from "he wasn't in the files at all" to "he was, but he was an informant". And here we are, taking about "even if he was an informant"...

He wasn't. End of story. Don't play their game.

  • Don't fall into it. It's a classic case of

    It didn't happen.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad.

And if it was, that's not a big deal.

And if it is, that's not my fault.

And if it was, I didn't mean it.

And if I did, you deserved it.

We've gone from "it didn't happen" to "and if it is, that's not my fault". By saying "even if he was" you are inadvertently enabling the next step.

It happened. It was that bad. It is a big deal. He took part in the fault. He did mean it. They (the victims) didn't deserve it.

  • What exactly is your argument? Why would a computer only be able to run Windows?

Secure Boot doesn't restrict anyone to only windows. Even if we play with the idea that it's impossible to disable it. You can still install some Linux distributions.

Anything can support secure boot, the question is, are the keys included in the BIOS so it can run that particular OS without loading extra keys?

I don't even understand what you're trying to say... You don't need keys in BIOS to install either Windows, or Linux. The only purpose for the BIOS key is for users to be able to just boot up their new computer that they bought factory new WITH their OS of choice without having to go through extra steps of verifying your OS license.

But you don't NEED a key in BIOS. You can still buy a key separately to set up Windows. Same goes with paid versions of Linux distributions, such as Red Hat.

  • I don't even want to begin to think about the legal complexities around the electric powered transportation.

But I know if you're caught operating one while drunk, it's automatically way worse than if you were just biking. Because they're "self-propellent" or however you want to put it.

Anyone under 16 is required by law to wear a helmet while biking. So they're also required by law to wear a helmet while riding an electric scooter.

Surprisingly I have not heard of electric scooter incidents lately. But probably just a matter of time until someone drives themselves to death on them.

  • Where I live, you can get a DUI and lose your driver's license if using a bicycle drunk.

Not that I agree with it. Not that I've ever seen it enforced. But the law is there.

  • Enterprises use a lot, and I do mean A LOT of custom software. Either developed in house or by others. They absolutely care.

What Microsoft does within their own OS, as the "S" version you're talking about. That's a non issue given you can just flash the drive and install whatever OS you want.

As for the concern that you'd somehow be unable to install another OS. Due to Secure Boot. I personally have never come across a computer that I've had full BIOS access to that didn't allow disabling secure boot. Though some have been more cooperative than others. But maybe I'm just lucky.

But I'm also pretty sure there are linux distributions that support Secure Boot.

Secure Boot for what it's intended to do, is a pretty good feature. Which is to stop unauthorized software from running before initiating your OS

  • It's not going to happen.

Motherboard manufacturers are not going to start making Windows only BIOS.

Microsofts target audience isn't the private user. It's companies. The money they make selling their OS to private persons are table scraps compared to their enterprise licenses. Any such initiative would fuck over every single enterprise customer.

There's more plastic in a happy meal toy than most bags.

  • Taking garbage from 1000 plastic bags into account is exactly what it does.

You're underestimating just how much is needed for a cloth bag.

From growing the cotton, to processing it, to making the bag. That's a long way. There are a lot of steps involved. A lot of energy required.
