  • Dring the Reddit Migration, this was the first one I heard about, so I picked it. Haven't been bothered to change it since.

  • That moment when you're stuck on a part of your code and you figure it out, write it, test it and it just works.

It's rare, but when it happens, it feels very good.

  • ffmpeg. It can extract video streams, audio, images. It can encode and decode video and audio, can split video files by chapters, can encode subtitles, etc.

There's very little that ffmpeg can't do with video and audio. It also has one of the largest man pages on Linux.

  • My old Vista machine blue-screened mid-gameplay many years ago, and the computer was completely corrupted (would only boot in Safe Mode).

  • Both? There's no real pattern to which I choose for what situation, just whatever I feel like doing in the moment.

  • Livestreams of installing Linux and ricing the desktop. It's like c/unixporn but longer and better. The buildup into the final result would be way more satisfying than just a still image.

  • I never open Windows regardless of season.

I like the fresh scent of Mint in my house instead.

  • Lurk first, then respond. You might find more context in the replies.

  • Whatever is set as default for Voyager (I think it's active)

  • A nice, cold, cloudy day is what I enjoy. Bonus points for rain or snow. I can't stand the heat or sunny days: too bright.

  • I feel JavaScript should be more of a backend scripting language, like with Node, than a frontend. PHP can already accomplish a lot of what JS can do, just on the server-side as opposed to client-side.

PHP+CSS is really all you need to make something feel good. People often use JS to make a site look good, yet it usually suffers in functionality.

  • Woah what theme is that? It looks cool.

  • I would say it's not safe to stand on a toilet period.

  • A mix between Cyberpunk 2077 without the cool tech, Black Mirror, and 1984.

  • To me, it looks like Little Nightmares 3 with a "Fresh" coat of paint, if that paint was made in the same factory as LN3.

I liked the original Little Nightmares, tolerated 2, and 3 bored me enough to not finish it. This game seems to improve some aspects from LN3, but still misses the mark for me.

  • There's a bouncy ball in Plasma?

  • Looks interesting. How does it compare to FreeTube on desktop?

  • No no, I think they mean "I'm sorry you feel that way."

  • Personally, I don't think there's are any "best brands" per se as most of them are just cramming shit features like AI and spyware to please their shareholders. Now "best phones"? There are definitely some good ones out there like some Fairphones or others. I'm using a OnePlus Nord, and while I don't like the company, the phone was affordable and had almost all the features I wanted. LineageOS flashed onto it solved the spyware issue as well.
