  • You're welcome. :) Good luck with the search.

  • If you have an Android and don't mind having your phone on a tripod while you're doing what you wanna do, DroidCam is a good option. It integrates with OBS easily and the paid tier isn't super expensive and is a one time cost.

Alternatively, you can also get a cheap GoPro knock off that supports being a webcam. I have an Apeman action cam that works reasonably well for this purpose and was less than $100 CAD.

For purpose-built webcams, I'm really not sure.

  • Whatever you say, pal. -eyeroll-

  • I love when people throw around the idea of Canadian provinces just being up for grabs, as if we want anything to do with what's going on south of the border.

  • Russia would love that.

  • They could also be rabid. Rabies can cause bats to wander out in the open where you wouldn't normally expect to see one. Approaching a bat in a situation like this not a great idea. A call to wildlife rescue is a good idea in any case.

  • I love the hive mind coming out of the wood work to downvote comments just because someone else has. I've noticed that often here. It was especially bad on Reddit. They see a zero or a negative one and have to put their unreasoned stamp on it too.

I bought the game a couple months ago and have put maybe 6 hrs into it so far so yeah, having someone spoil a part of the plot just because the game has been out for a while is fucking shitty.

  • Don't worry! Dreamforce is coming up and you get the chance to listen to Sundar Pichai and Marc Benioff wax poetic about how AI is transforming the workplace. -ahem- I mean how AI is being used to make you obsolete. Hurry now and get your conference pass for $2,299! What a screamin' deal!

  • This was a great read. What a monumental effort to emulate that device. The perseverance is inspiring, honestly.

  • Go to a family member's house and try to show them something on YT.

Cringe in horror at the experience.

  • This is not boomerism. A kid committed suicide because ChatGPT encouraged him to do it in a very similar way to how it enabled this guy's conspiracies.

    ChatGPT is the ultimate enabler.

  • That is super cool. Great read!

  • Bad form indeed. Ruined it for me.

  • Ideally the advisory is going out over the radio too. People will hear it while driving and then spread by word of mouth.

  • Who on earth is gonna shoot a starling for food?

Have you seen starlings? They can fit in the palm of your hand.

  • Why the fuck should they feel responsible for this hellhole. The generations before them fucked it all up.

This is like sharing an apartment with someone and then shitting in the corner, spitting on the mirror in the bathroom and leaving dishes everywhere and then being mad about them not caring about the cleanliness of the space that you yourself ruined.

    Horseshit.

  • Everyone can do it

    The vast majority just won't.

  • Some shit is just straight up poison though.

  • You hate to say it because you know this is a ridiculous take. There's no fucking way that the parents are "more at fault" for their son's death than the company whose product encouraged him to hide his feelings from his parents and coached him on how to commit suicide.

*I have excellent parents and even they were not privy to the depths of my emotions as a kid. * You are actively choosing to ignore the realities of childhood as well as parenthood to play some shitty devil's advocate online.
