I wanted to finish Wheel of Time, but couldn't slog my way through all the books again, so I listened to the Dragon Re-Read. A ton of fun conversation and saved me so much time and reading.
Interestingly, the defense used the salacious nature of the testimony to call for a mistrial. Judge Merchan personally had to step in throughout the testimony to keep it focused.
When the mistrial was called for, Merchan refused and admonished the defense for doing their job for them. They should have objected more in order to keep the testimony on track.
Honestly, this was the diciest part of the trial so far and it's not entirely clear how beneficial it was for the prosecution, but it was important nonetheless.
Nothing wrong with asking honest questions. The point of this place is to foster discussion and community and sometimes that involves helping someone get up to speed.
Very pleased with bioferrite extraction being added for tribals. I created a ritual-focused tribal and just getting stone cutting took forever. Trying to angle towards electricity would have taken forever.
I couldn't ever make the engine work. It just never clicked for me. So everyone talks about how exciting big numbers could be, but I never got big numbers. I just keep struggling and dying over and over again.
I tried it and refunded it. It did not work for my brain. I'm glad they're seeing such success and it's clearly a terrific idea, but man, it just made me feel bad.
That's exactly how I do it! Recycling in the back, trash in the front, rotate them out when the trash is full. As an added bonus, we have a compost bin.
I’ll be curious if the democrats step in. Johnson did the right thing getting the bill passed, but he’s still a garbage human being and a terrible leader.
Pasteurization is pretty effective at killing stuff. That's literally what it's meant to do.
Mutations and transmission require a vast array of infections to net appreciable results. I don't think the rare raw milk drinkers will likely be a huge problem.
The thumb on the trigger pull makes so much sense. I remember the first time I fired a pistol being surprised at how difficult it was to squeeze the trigger. I'd fired a .22 rifle quite a bit and the pistol felt ridiculous by comparison.
Because it’s him or Trump and Trump is demonstrably worse.
This article itself is deeply disingenuous calling Biden a tiny bit better on queer rights or the environment.
They’re not even in the same ballpark. Trump is a disaster for the environment, for reproductive rights, for minorities, and for the Middle East.
I would give anything for an alternative to Biden that wasn’t Trump, but pretending that voting against Biden would somehow be better for Palestine is insane.
I’m genuinely surprised when very little children manage to fire a gun. The safety is usually quite sturdy, the slide is usually far more robust than movies make it appear, and even the trigger can be hefty depending on the gun.
The gun would have to be chambered with the safety off for a three year old to pull the trigger effectively.
Which, to me, speaks of gross negligence that warrants a strong punishment.
