  • Not saying it isn't, but if somebody tells me it should be less than half of what I'm seeing it for I might as well ask if I'm missing something, no?

  • 7 bucks? Saw that and immediately opened steam.

Am I missing something? That's the only bundle I found for animal well...

  • It's not a single bit worse than before the announcement.

  • There were huge enterprise sets. They were terrific. No need to pay ten times as much for the inferior Lego quality...

  • The bluebrixx models, especially the later waves, were perfect. My son recently built the USS Stargazer and it's terrific. I can't imagine Lego delivering the same quality considering what they shipped over the last few years. It's a shame. Would have loved to get my hands on some more bb sets.

  • Read that as "2 ISO rounds per minute" and that made it even better.

  • No no no, you don't get it! Humans only have eyes, so cars that only have eyes should perform just as good as humans! Disregard that humans don't perform well in fog or rain or generally anything that isn't good weather and also disregard that to match our eyes' resolution you'd need extremely high resolution cameras that produce way too much data for current computers and also disregard that most of the stuff isn't happening in our eyes but in our brains and also disregard that the point that is usually being made to advocate for self driving cars is that they should be better than humans!

Will ich wissen, was da stand?

  • Do not try to get money from venture capitalists. Try to find three or four customers that you really work with to solve their problems. Grow slowly and steadily.

  • Black and white are pretty overrepresented there though. Turning this into a sphere might help?

  • Man, I sure hope they finally get rid of chademo... There's no way they'll again fuck up the plug, right?

Instead of a slow and clunky CHAdeMO connector, the Leaf rocks a Tesla-style NACS port for DC fast charging.

Good. I mean, for the US. I'll just guess they have CCS for the rest of the world.

Interestingly, the car also has a SAE J-1772 connector for AC charging. The driver's side fender has the J plug, while the passenger side fender has the NACS.

    ...

    Wat?

Confusingly, the NACS connector is only for DC fast charging. If you're going to level 2 charge, you must use the J plug or a NACS connector with an adapter. It's weird, but the car will make it obvious to owners if they plug into the wrong connector.

    Yup, they fucked it up.

  • Absolutely. Dedicating a large part of the article to what the AI wrote about how it came up with the number is just so dumb... Just because it first writes that it pulled it from a database and then writes that it really didn't doesn't mean it's lying. It has no concept of deceit or truth. It has no concepts at all. It's a fancy random number generator and people keep attributing human properties to it.

With the conversation going round in circles, Smethurst said he did not believe the chatbot and told it: “Just giving a random number to someone is an insane thing for an AI to do.”

This is just so weird... No, Smethurst, that's exactly what chatbots do. It's literally how they work.

  • Yeah, same here.

  • They're the MAN, man!
