  • I bet there's some kind of kickback from Microsoft involved here. Maybe indirectly. Because the only reason I still have a Windows PC (just one left) is to play Fortnite with my kiddo. Every other PC and tablet is running Linux since October.

  • It does slow down after that. Eventually, it picks back up during Endwalker and that does really well on it's own, but in the shadow of Shadowbringers it's hard to measure up. Endwalker would be my second favorite expansion. Even post-EW was good. But then it drops like a rock for Dawntrail. That's my least favorite of the entire series. Maybe they've turned it around, idk. But I quit in the post-DT around one of the quests that just says "Speak to Wuk Lamat" AGAIN and I just don't know why we're still hanging out with that loser who falls into success.

  • It does get good at the climax of the base game, A Realm Reborn, when Rauban loses control. That's what hooked me. There are other great moments and plots along the way through the whole game . But for the overall best time, it's the 3rd expansion, Shadow Bringers, that's a masterpiece all the way through. That's some of the best Final Fantasy I've ever played from Squaresoft or SquareEnix.

    Dawntrail, I can't recommend. I can't get into it.

  • I live in a flyover state, and was never teased in the locker room for being uncircumcised. No one even brought it up. Had they, I'm sure my response would've been "why you looking at my dick, bro? You hungry?".

    Cleaning is as easy as any other body part.

    I've never had a negative interaction about it with any girl. I don't think most girls know what they're looking at with a lot of detail.

    My son isn't either, and I just showed him how to bathe properly early on (keeping in mind kids often forget it don't understand and need little of reinforcement for anything). "If you don't scrub a body part with soap, it isn't getting cleaned". That's true for armpits, feet, whatever. Never a problem.

    It's amazing that most of the world is uncircumcised, and doesn't have a problem. It's only the United States where we have to chop off boys dicks?

  • I disagree, "What's up, people?" By Maximum the Hormone (Death Note OP 2) is great. The intro with all the manically laughing Light heads in the fires of hell, while MtH growls metal vocals over it? Chef's kiss.

    High School of the Dead has a great opening as well - Kishida Kyoudan & the Akeboshi Rockets. It's also a really fun anime.

    Call of the Night's entire anime was written around the song in their season 1 opening. It's pretty good as well.

    Someone already mentioned Cowboy Bebop, and that entire soundtrack is perfect. They wrote many episodes to fit the music they made first.

    Tokyo Ghoul had that meme of the opening for a while, because that one part sounds really nice when it hits.

    I'm sure there's others, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

  • It's odd that they consider the really specific case of a teen that works two jobs to make ends meet, and decide to make national sweeping changes to accommodate that. No, no way could it have any negative effect on anyone else. And they definitely shouldn't try to address the problem of one job for that teen not being enough to support themselves.

    THIS is what a union helps you do. To stop shit like this. This is an unthinkable possibility in the US because there's no unions in any effective capacity.

  • You can buy a title from Sealand, a dubious claim to a pirate radio station built upon a WWII sea platform. It's not officially recognized by the UK, but is just offshore from them. They have the debatable claim of actually being able to sell titles because it's created land outside the UK.

  • We had a huge ice storm in 2007 across the entire state of Oklahoma. The whole state was without power. I didn't have a chimney, and neither did anyone else I knew. It was easy to freeze to death as every road was ice, or covered with fallen trees. It took a month to get an electrician to fix our rental house, and we stayed with my dad who heated his house with the oven burners that used natural gas. You could die that way, but it was below freezing so we had no choice.

    My next house had a chimney, and I got a small generator. I've had to use them both, since.

    I will always have a chimney for emergency heat!

  • This is older than my mother even, and she retired years ago. Herman Munster is a cop! There's at least an episode or two on YouTube, which is how I saw it. Otherwise I'd have never known. It's really a snapshot of another time.
