It’s absolutely the best way to see the films. I want to see what the movie was like with the limitations of the time. That’s what made it amazing. A lot of modern movies suffer from being able to CGI everything, so they all just turn out boring.

It sure feels real. I have a very vague memory of all of that happening. Or maybe I watched a YouTube video about it years ago? It’s hard to say.

I do remember they had pictures of the lid during commercial breaks for a while leading up to it, to build hype.

The original Dragonlance book, Dragons of Autumn Twilight, didn’t need a map. Because a major plot point was that all the maps they had were pre-cataclysm and over a hundred years old. They had smaller local maps, but no explorers had stitched them together as 100 years is short to do that. So traveling over the map outside of where they would normally be in their lives, meant they couldn’t be sure where they were going or where they’d end up.

They went to Tarsis-by-the-sea to take a ship to cut down their travel time, only to find it had become a dry seabed.

They did still have a map, but much more local to where the group started out and lived. I suppose that’s why in most fantasy settings, you need a local map, because big world ones like Tolkien had require a lot of stability over a long period of time, along with trade and a market for large map.

Is it just to piss us off and distract us? Are these candidates just sucking up to Trump the right way? Are these powerful people intentionally destroying the country faster to end the world? Is it just greed?

I feel like it’s all of that, but I’m really tired of it and really tired of being so powerless to do anything about it.

I’d love to know the rate of return on ads that show up when you search for something. Does anyone actually want to buy anything from an intrusive search result? I can’t imagine it’s worth the aggravation.

To hear that they’re pulling back from it in the future means we’ve been suffering on some executive’s hope that we’re just waiting to buy more all the time.

I might be too proud now, but I would never take abuse from a supervisor/manager again. I quit my previous job after shabby treatment and was unemployed a few months in 2023. Luckily I had a safety net built up that allowed me to do it.

There’s nothing more pathetic than a low level manager trying to flex what little authority they have to make themselves feel important. I’d laugh in their face and ignore them. They can fire me if it’s that important. It never is. You won’t get promoted or a raise that way. But in this economy I don’t expect that anyway.

I went in the early summer, and it was a nice, sleepy town. Not crowded, but it was super hot. I’m looking forward to going back! Art at TST changes so it’s always interesting to see what’s new.

If you’re saying your current job at fast food is rewarding, check back in a year with us. Or whenever you quit. Tyrannical managers, unrealistic metrics, no compassion for employees, all drain you quick at fast food. No vacation time, no sick time, yet you have to be ready to pick up a shift within hours.

Maybe you’ve got a good boss. I hope it works out. I work a desk job in IT and whole I don’t see physical results, I’m much happier than working in the service industry. I couldn’t make it work there.

I think they realize that it’s not profitable to sell Xbox systems, given the current memory crisis. And that it won’t resolve itself at least in the next 5 years.

I bet they’ll push cloud services for their next games platform, if they find there’s still a market. They won’t kill the Xbox because they don’t want to shut the door on it, but they’ll let it wither until they find a way to make money with it again. Cause right now their cloud services and licensing have for to be their main revenue stream.
