  • Well, no, because my comment did not actually equate Indian people with Hindu nationalists.

    My comment was speaking on how I've seen PARTICULAR Indian people, even some of whom I have gotten to know and interact with personally, claim to stand for justice and progress but will demonize Muslims and even deny Israel's genocide.

    These people are, in effect, putting an endorsement of Hindu nationalism over any actual sense of justice.

    The point was to note that even some Indian people who seem "woke" may still fall into this Islamophobic way of thinking because Islamophobia, objectively speaking, can be extremely pervasive in India.

    None of that makes anti-Indian sentiment acceptable, nor does any of what I'm saying amount to anti-Indian sentiment.

    But, honestly, after checking your yikes of a modlog history, I realize that this is probably not worth me entertaining.
