  • I will probably end up using the old ui because functionality is lost in this new one. Can't hide upvote numbers which I strongly prefer to be hidden.

  • The Atlanta-based company said the reductions comprised 14,000 roles primarily in management, alongside around 34,000 cuts within its “operational workforce”—employees involved in its day-to-day logistics and delivery services.

I would be curious to know what percentage of the 34,000 chose not to join the union

  • I'm personally not surprised at all these "anti woke" people not caring about this, he was or still is on the Hill, which is not a left publication by any means-

  • Yeah I'm gonna keep on posting Jacobin pieces, they have always published shitty pieces, but they are one of the only leftist English speaking publications in general, personally I have disliked the writing of the author of the piece you are referring too for years, Marketic has always been a huge Russia didn't do anything wrong kind of guy in regards to Ukraine.

  • Jacobin has always been "anti cancel culture" "anti woke" etc

  • As someone who reads Jacobin, this situation is exactly the hill they would die on. They've always been "anti-woke" and saying as a US army vet shouldn't run bc of war crimes definitely falls under "woke" for them.

  • Why say it in 2 words when you could say it in 50?

  • It does kinda make sense bc hes always 'giving away money to people' now he can basis his giveaways on using his propreitary app. I would imagine it's gonna be a cash app clone and not a checking account.

  • This is cool for most people, but if you're doing anything even remotely not liked by the state, they will probably use you owning this as evidence you are a criminal. People in Europe were already getting profiled for having pixel phones by the police bc of Graphene OS.

  • This is not gonna be good enough for Trump, she should haved pulled a Macklemore and tried to refuse to take it, he's gonna hate her for life.

  • You very evidently don't get it

  • I'm sure it has been used at times by uncool people, but dragon flag goes hard

  • what do you expect from a white guy representing Hawaii?

  • I think color marathon is more accurate if you are gonna call it a color revolution, most revolutions don't take 5-10+ yrs depending on when you start counting.

  • It's functionally the same thing though, if treasurey employees wildcat strike, Trump fires them all for being unpatriotic and replaces them w doge people so I think can is close enough.

  • Yeah it wasn't like that until the 70-80s, federal unions used to be able to strike, thank the boomers for that one. The problem is once you give away or in some cases the president decides you cant strike anymore you never get it back.

  • Neither can strike if I'm not mistaken.

  • I think a lot of people want to project Sankara onto him, partially because he emulates parts of his style and rhetoric. But if you were a military leader of course you would be inspired by your country's most famous and inspirational modern figure. He'll likely be better in terms of breaking away from neocolonial arrangements with France, but time will tell what else will happen, stuff like this included.
