  • It's terrifying how easy it is to manipulate a population that's so biscously anti intellectual.

This is the dunning Kruger effect in real life. They're too stupid to understand science so they assume science doesn't make any sense.

I'm sure they would consider it a waste to "measure bubbles in antarctic sea ice" because they don't understand that's what climate models are based on and vindicated by. And even if they did understand it theyd still be against it.

It's tough because obviously as communists you have to try to maintain a belief everybody is deserving of basic dignity and respect but then you see somebody yell "don't you fucking tell me what to do" as they climb over the "do not enter, high voltage" sign of a substation.

It's a lot harder to maintain the belief that any loss of life is a tragedy when you have a guy in a klan robe saying it's their constitutional right to to wrap their lips around the exhaust pipe of a diesel truck specifically modified to cause as many emissions as humanly possible.

  • Who were eliminated except for like 3 people when their ideology and traditions immediatly crumbled to fascism.

Requiring everybody to rely on a band of terrorist blowing up military infrastructure.

  • I would give anything for a magic mirror you could hold up to blue Maga to make them realize they are the exact thing they despise.

  • "I mean it's not like those 15 million voters have been screaming at the top of their lungs they wouldnt vote for a candidate that supported the genocide for nearly two years at this point"

  • We really like groceries and no matter how many think pieces you wiote it still costs me $60 to step foot in a grocery store. Not including the cost of food in your budget doesn't mean you balanced your budget, just like not including food in inflation calcs doesnt mean inflation isn't an issue.

  • Also they made up a word to delegitimize when you point out they're being huge fucking hypocrites.

"We have repeatedly openly tried to influence the elections of other countries, including Russia, and openly bragged about it."

"Ah yes the classic Russian tactics of whataboutism."

Giving a new name to "being a fucking hypocrite" doesn't make it ok to be a hypocrite.

  • Because if you aren't the bad guys then they're just essentially the low level stooges of the evil mastermind just doing mundane evil shit for no discernable reason.

Where as if you're the bad guy they're virtuous principled people just doing what's right (allowing them to have complete dominion over the moral high ground)

  • It was probablly just a list of 20 humanities electives they had to pick 4 of for gen Ed requirements (not say9ng this is a bad thing maybe if there was more of this 1/4 of every engineering class wouldn't go straight to Lockheed martin)

They're supposed to be less rigorous and a little more general than other courses, this is really grasping at straws for a reason to ignore the point being made.

  • People thinking their clever by making up words that already have a meaning.

"Lawfare" meaning chargingnrich white assholes for the crime they committed

"Disinformatsiya" or however libs spelled it to mean pointing out the hypocrisy of American nationalists.

"Sanewashing" to describe media putting their thumb on the scale for the fascist who wants to cut their taxes.

It implies it's a new phenomenon and not just the current version of whatever propoganda apparatus has been chugging along for decades.

Liberals complain about "sanewashsing" and then in the same breath talk about how cheyney and bush weren't exactly the fucking same as Trump.

  • Idk if it's medical or more psychological but the term for when your hear a word so many times it loses meaning is one of my favorite phrases in the English language.

    Semantic satiation

  • I'll give you induction is just as good but they're fucking expensive and it limits what cookware you can use if I understand correctly from when we were last looking.

We were stuck with a shitty old electric stove in our house and upgrading to a gas stove is a massive improvement. Idk what trying to say that electric is as good as gas does other than get anyone who cooks daily to disregard your opinion.

It's pretty nice ro be able to actually bring a full stock pot to a boil in less than 40 minutes.

  • "It's not racist because it's true, they really should be exterminated."

  • Getting other people to pay for your shit is like 80% of being wealthy.

Look at Elon and his government subsidies, nfl owners and city subsidies for their stadiums they charge people 100s of dollars to enter, or Trump successfully getting rhe rnc to pay his legal fees.

  • Imagine spending fucking $100 million and you still don't have any outdoor space and your house is completely surrounded by roads on every side.

This is the opposite of "location location location" the most expensive and psedo luxurious home possible but the air in your yard is 80% car emissions.

  • "My bookie said giving him this months grocery budget was a great idea."

  • No he just spawned a weird cult that tried to call French fries freedom fries and a Toby Keith song with the lyrics "we'll put a boot in your ass it's the American way" was on top of the billboards.

  • Just so you know this is exactly what every liberal said about bush in 2008, it was also widely agreed that a republican would never win a presidential election again.

You're overestimating liberals. By a lot.

  • It's going to happen even faster than bush because Trump will continually to talk shit on Twitter about how the next republican nominee is shitty.

We're like 2 years out from "I can't believe I'm agreeing with Trump, never thought I'd say I wish he'd come back" from liberals.

If he loses the republican string pullers are gonna get sick of tying their horse to somebody who cost them 2 consecutive elections and start talking shit about him, republicans will all agree they never liked him just like bush, and that'll make the libs rehabilitate him even faster.

Exactly like how Cheyney and Romeny are now liberal darlings just because they're mad they got left behind by the party.
