  • Imagine being born in the US instead of being some random ethnic Mongolian literally living in paradise in the shadow of Temujin, unknowing of the horrors of the rest of the world

  • Look on the bright side, there are millions of Chinese children who are about to enjoy the greatest collective lives probably ever lived in human history

  • Western (monetary) value assessment of China’s market continues to go down.

Meanwhile, in reality, China is gaining economic value exponentially.

I continue to buy China while it’s cheap.

  • That’s the neat part. They don’t!

  • We will surely build the communist revolution by analyzing Frieren, the anime, and having all “leftists” who enjoyed/hated/ignored Frieren conduct public self crit of their enjoyment/hatred/indifference, and banishing all who agree/disagree/neutral on this issue

  • Prioritize:

    1. Pay off all debt, anything that accrues interest
    2. Have a 6 month emergency fund. 2.1. Hold cash in interest bearing accounts. Americans can get 3.8% in money markets. Avoid holding cash that does not bear interest.
    3. Max out your tax-advantaged accounts. Typically a 401k plan with employer match and stock options you want to max out. It’s free money.
    4. Max out your Roth IRA (or equivalent)
    5. Invest in ETFs. VT is the simplest.
  • The problem is the shitty connector that is very difficult to plug in, difficult to tell when seated, and has a fail-deadly state where it just explodes unless perfectly seated. That, and people using third party cables in their modular PSU that are wired incompatibly because everything is proprietary.

From an engineering perspective it’s perfectly safe and not even that difficult or costly to do 500W, your house has like 4 appliances that do twice that or more on a daily basis.

  • Eating out for lunch never made sense to me from that start. It’s literally some relic of 1970s economic boom or something, when relative wages were high, relative prices were cheap, and there was no internet so you worked like an hour a day and spent the other 7 smoking and drinking.

Oh boy I would love to spend my hour of unpaid lunch letting work pile up, spending 15 minutes driving to a place, waiting 15 minutes to order/pay/receive food, driving 15 minutes back, and then having 15 minutes to eat, gaining like 1500 calories and spending an hours worth of pay plus gas and vehicle depreciation.

Like, no I’ll just eat a granola bar and work at my desk thanks.

  • In a shrinking job market, why hire a strapping young genz right out of college when you can get a laid-off millennial with 10-15 years of experience for the exact same entry level wage?

(It’s me. I’m the millennial. I am the clown.)

  • The redact tool takes a shitload of time to process every highlighted area so the dumbass failson analyst probably thought there’s no difference between that and just putting black highlight or box layer on top, which is much faster

  • Mint Mobile and a 1-2 gen old iPhone, can’t really go wrong.

For other phone options, Chinese manufacturers are miles ahead of any other Android phone makers. Maybe look into one plus, oppo, etc. decent value even buying brand new.

The problem with the super budget phones like the $200 Samsung a68 or whatever are that they very quickly degrade into an unusable experience and you have to get the latest slop and probably spend more money than just getting a solid phone in the first place.

  • Wait a second, college boy. We paid you good money for useful analysis and you’re telling us Tim “the expansion of Israel and its’ proxies is a fundamental necessity for the United States” Walz was not a smash hit with the youth?

  • Why old China then proceed to join Russia’s war against the UK LMAO

the liberal mind is truly something special

Every day I thank Allah I am funneling money directly to the CPC

  • Ngl I thought this was going to be about that hour long expose of that one guys struggle with synthetic gas station kratom addiction and got ANGERY

But no, it was merely this novel type of guy. Thank you for your service

  • Brother I’ve gotten background checked on every job that required a degree I’ve had, some states require the employee to also get a copy whenever they are background checked for employment

I get it, genuinely. And also we're like 50%-90% shitposting so I’m not super 😡 . I just notice rhetoric that is the exact opposite of how to job hunt and advance your career instead of floating and getting fired from min wage position to min wage position and it makes me feel for those that get disenfranchised by the discussion when they could be doing so much more for themselves

Shit maybe we should start a career support comm or some shit where things are Super Serious All The Time

  • Is the field something technical where you can get collect online certifications to resume-pad? If so, definitely suggest that.

Just be (partially) honest, say you had unexpected family medical emergency for a few months after the layoff and have been searching the whole time while doing some freelancing.

Is your background really a bullshit field or is that what terminally online people tell you to diminish the skills and labor you have spent years learning and practicing? Is this your attitude during interviews as well, or do you give off the vibe of a highly motivated and driven employee?

The market is shit, that is undeniable. As long as you’re navigating interviews while playing the game, saying the buzzwords and generic motivations, and you’re also a competent and skilled laborer, you’ll get the job. It’s just a matter of time, and that time freaking sucks. I’ve been there as well for 7 months, it seems like it will never end but it does, as long as you don’t give in to defeatism.

  • Brother you are legitimately such a pathetic human being.

I’m going to make so much money off people like you. Genuinely, thank you. Keep it up.

  • You could probably find an old Optiplex and like a used RX580 in that price range
