  • I used to use an app called Hullomail which brought them into an app as voice clips you can see the caller and play or export.

It also showed you missed calls while your phone was off since they can just flag when a call was redirected to them. Super useful.

IIRC they got acquired and removed the free tier but you might still find them useful.

  • Varies for me, I'm chill when I'm coming back home, but going to third countries where the front or back of the passport queue is 15 mins or 45 mins wait, best believe I'm getting off asap

  • Yeah that works, but often male toilets currently only have one stall. Would need to shift that balance for this to be an effective strategy.

  • I'm from the UK where it's at least banned indoors.

Visiting European pubs/bars where people still smoke is nuts and my clothes always stink after

  • It does feel counterintuitive but it kinda makes sense since it's probably a small dev team.

The third party OS is being dogfooded and its devs probably use it on a daily basis, making minor improvements, it probably has different people working on a port for their own device, etc.

For a company that's selling products, their time is split between fixing issues in the current OS, and building the next version of the OS for new phones

  • I'd heard about it as a secure, pro privacy ROM but never used it since it's not available on my current device. But after seeing their attitude on some forums, it honestly put me right off ever wanting to try Graphene OS.

I'm glad it's not just me

  • Only solution is to write your own

  • Some people pronounce the h and some don't. They're saying it sounds bad to say "an his..."

  • Just laughed aloud in a café, thanks for that

  • That entirely depends on where you live.

Your statement that the vast majority of homes are owned by the residents is not true where I live.

Blanket policies don't work, governments need to implement regulation that recognises the nuance of different markets.

But also yes, build more homes too

  • Doesn't work if landlords just buy that too.

    Needs proper regulation

  • As a Brit, I still find it staggering that some places allow you to drive a manual without having learned how to. It's two separate licences over here.

  • mdm?

  • Yes, so annoying especially when using source control which is case sensitive.

  • There's nothing more fun than travelling with someone you like, but if someone forces you to move somewhere you feel uncomfortable... That's no good!

  • if you don't want to or can't use extensions, just right click > inspect on the password field, then right click the element highlighted in the HTML and click "use in console" or "store in global variable" depending on browser

    it'll put something like

    temp0 into the console

    just change that line to

    temp0.value = "yourpassword"
      and press enter

it sounds verbose to explain but it's just a couple of clicks and one command, if you're using a password manager it's still a lot easier than typing out a random string and it should work with most text boxes and inputs, might not work if the page is doing something fancy.

  • that's in there

  • Because the Firefox looking glass fiasco wasn't close to the same level and they immediately responded to criticism on the issue.

Meanwhile there is a pattern of behaviour like this from Brave.
