    We have the same problem in canada with companies leaving orphaned wells

    Lawmakers should have foreseen this and adjusted the law accordingly... its either incomptence or deliberately leaving an escape hatch for their rich oil donors

    I feel personally attacked... i'm not a rich exec and yet half my week is bullshit meetings where i end up saying "nothing to add" when its my turn after an hour of listening to sales directors/execs jerk each other off.... it's the execs that set up those meetings, not the workers...

    If we had started a sovereign wealth fund like norway, instead of shipping all the profits overseas, we would all be better off..

    I would actually support oil and gas if it actually benefitted the nation.

    Canada got rid of the british, but not the corporations that are the true colonizers still extracting from the land and the people and sending the wealth overseas

    This kind of mentality completely works against the class consciousness we need to be building...

    Hell, we need to be getting people with $5M net worth on board with us (i'm just throwing arbitrary number out). The target shouldnt be the 1% anymore... it's the 0.1%

    my friend's company is starting to go back to doing things the old fashioned way: in-person interviews. they found that people find all kinds of ways to cheat even with these invasive tools. my friend is a software engineer working in a tech shop.

    • excellent service
    • sensible pricing, tax and service included. No guessing games when the bill comes

    Basically, common sense if you're running a resto.... if i'm going to be dropping $200 to go out these days, it better be really good. As it stands today, dining out in canada is a ripoff and mostly mediocre experience
