  • Same book described farmers letting good food rot because they needed to raise prices. If they gave the food away it would drop prices lower than they already were.

Like you said, banks would take people's homes and abandon them because they didn't want to set the standard that you could take loans out and not pay them.

Over 100 years ago the Great Depression proved without a doubt that capitalism is a garbage system and the only safety net it has is tax payer money.

If a bank that's "too big to fail" and they're on a downhill path, why waste resources trying to dig themselves out when they know they'll get a fat paycheck from the people.

It's insane to me that there's middle/lower class people that defend this shit.

  • They were trying to get free meals out of the guy. Fuck them, actually. Bums.

  • What's more believable? That unicorns are fictional? Or giraffes?

  • I have no idea what you're talking about, we all pay full price.

  • You can list all of those things in a resume, besides maybe the traveling.

  • That's true, but from what I remember, half the class was either goofing off, sleeping, or straight up not there. Education as a whole isn't valued in the US anymore. Students/parents blame teachers when their kid doesn't magically absorb the information without doing any of the work or studying. Trade schools are becoming more popular because of the costs of college, but deep down, they think it's an easy way to make good money. Those trades require hard work as well. Cost of college is most definitely contributed to the overall lack of education but that's not causing the average US high schooler to have a reading level of a 5th grader in the UK.

  • Yeah he's one of the few that's around my age and doesn't cater to a younger audience.

  • Every Reddit thread about any serious topic is this. It blows my mind how many people get hung up on arguing about semantics. Or just parroting the same hive mind bullshit without giving it a second thought.

  • I've been watching him for a while now for his Souls-like playlists. He doesn't really like playing Assassin's Creed type games but he'll do it out of popularity. Funny that this is the game he's going viral for.

  • From an owner of an OLED deck that I've used almost everyday for the past year on a plethora of games, I would recommend going for the lower end Go S steam version (if you're going for the budget route).

The OLED is showing it's age even with lesser demanding games since older games still update their graphics and such over time. Unless you're going to solely use it for 2D platformer style games. The LCD deck is a slightly less powerful version.

I'm holding out for the Go 2 and hoping there's official steamos support.

  • I like summer because I hate the cold so much. Idk how people prefer it. I have to wear extra clothes everywhere. If I need to work outside my hands hurt from hitting anything even lightly. Dry skin all the time. Need to warm up my car every morning. The list goes on.

  • The entire country would collapse if they did that. There would nothing to be president of.

Not to mention Jon Stewart, Jon Oliver, and the many other celebrities that shit on Trump. Plus all of MSNBC, CNN, and the other "left" news companies. I don't imagine they have resources to do all that.

  • Idk the yours or OPs situation but the start up costs of running a farm are pretty high. Not to mention the actual farming work part of it.

  • Yep definitely is. I guess OP hasn't heard of brotato and deep rock survivor either.

  • I was mainly talking about paywalled sites like news articles.

  • Don't encourage him.
