I Have a Heart Shaped Hole that Can Only be Filled with Owls

One of the best camouflaged screech owls I've ever seen. I love this heart-shaped nest from years past, and it makes me wonder how many I walk right past every day.

I'm sure you know that screech owls are highly nocturnal, but did you know that how soon after dark individuals begin to hunt depends on weather and food abundance? Interestingly, males tend to begin hunting earlier than females.
