… One of my trans sisters is still inside. We’re close but not there yet.

how’s everyone holding up today? I have been sharing updates for nearly two months now. I didn’t want to keep posting but I also can’t stay silent while my sister is still in custody.

I’m a trans refugee living with my sisters. Late last year, three of them were arrested while fetching water. Even with their documents ,bail was refused and for days I didn’t know where they were or if they were safe. With mutual aid from this community, we were able to get kair and Olivia released. Olivia later became very sick and support here helped cover her hospital treatment so she could survive. She’s home now

Charity is still inside. She has now been in jail for over a month in very harsh conditions. The police are demanding $213 for her bail before she can be taken to court. Every extra day puts her health at more risk.

For more than a month, the little support we’ve received has gone straight to basic needs,food, medical bills, rent and trying to get her out. If a few people are able to give $5 or $10, it truly adds up. And if donating isn’t possible, a share or bump helps more than you might think.
