Like a foodbank but for mobile data, the National Databank provides free mobile SIM cards for people in the UK who can’t access the internet

What Is The National Databank | Free Mobile Data For Digital Inclusion | Good Things Foundation

I am not sure whether this fits to this community, but I just stumbled upon this and thought it's a great project.

If you or someone you know can't afford an Internet connection, get in touch with the National Databank. They provide free SIMs for people who are eligible.

Members of the 'National Digital Inclusion Network,' which is a network of organisations helping people use or access the internet locally, can apply for data packages anytime. SIM cards are distributed to these community hubs across the UK, who activate and gift the free mobile data to people experiencing data poverty or living on a low income in their community.
