Do you think that it may be more uncomfortable for autistic people to have the flu as the autistic brain usually is incapable of just ignoring stimulus like phlegm in your throat?

I have the flu rn and is fucking hell, I feel phlegm down my throat and I must cough it out even if it hurts like hell, and I just can't ignore it, is awful.
And that kinda lead me to a realization, when people say to not do that, so to not worsen the throat pain, is hard not to assume they have a way easier time ignoring the feeling of phlegm in your throat.
Also: if anyone has tips, they're very welcome.
