❗️UN says Israel rejected over 100 humanitarian aid requests for Gaza since 'ceasefire'

The United Nations reveals that Israel has rejected 107 requests for the entry of relief materials into the Gaza Strip since the so-called ceasefire took effect on 11 October, blocking essential humanitarian supplies, and items like blankets, winter clothes, as well as tools and materials to maintain and operate water, sanitation and hygiene services.

Nearly 90% of the requests were from over 330 local and international NGOs.

A UN spokesperson said that some of the rejected materials were deemed by Israeli authorities to fall outside the scope of humanitarian aid. “Other items are classified as dual-use, ranging from vehicles and their spare parts to solar panels, some types of mobile latrines, X-ray machines and generators,” he said.

The UN also emphasized that Israeli detonations of residential buildings have been reported daily in multiple areas where the Israeli military remains deployed, especially in eastern Khan Younis, eastern Gaza City and Rafah, and that near the so-called “yellow line” Israeli attacks continue to result in Palestinian casualties.palestinegazaaideHumanitairehumanitarianAidstopStarvingPalestiniansfamineInGaza
