Oktoberklub - Oktoberlied - Song celebrating the October Revolution!

Today marks 108 years since the October Revolution (which due to different calendars was actually in November). The revolution put in motion a new phase of the class conflict, the workers were no longer alone, as the first ever socialist state rose from the ruins of the Russian Empire and 5 years later that state would become the Soviet Union.

Invaded by great powers before it was born, battered by the largest land invasion in history and under constant pressure by subversive powers, the U.S.S.R. was eventually dissolved illegally 69 years after its creation. But the spirit of the U.S.S.R. seems to be immortal, long after it was gone its mere mention is enough to startle those in power, as if ritualistically, propaganda against it is repeated over and over like an incantation. What is likely the most terrifying to them is that while it has not picked up the mantle of the Soviet Union, the People's Republic of China is everything they feared the U.S.S.R. could become.

In their premature celebration, the ruling classes of the world allowed the P.R.C. to become a socialist state that is technologically superior, economically superior and with a standard of living higher than not just the U.S.S.R., but most western countries. It now only grows in power while the capitalist hegemon weakens.

So let us celebrate this 7th of November, for perhaps in the bicentennial, 92 years later, the humanity of tomorrow will get to enjoy the fruits of a true socialist world!
